Need to set the eastern timezone on the acurite unit, every thing else is fine ?

Remove the batteries from both indoor and outdoor unit. Leave them out for 10 minutes. Replace the outdoor sensor with a new battery (2xAA), and then new batteries in the main unit (3xAA).

Select a city that has Eastern timezone, such as Indianapolis.

Here's the manual for the AcuRite Weather Forecaster. If it's not showing the outside temperature, make sure the A-B-C switch is set to match the display unit. To set the timezone:

• In the Normal Time Display, press the [MODE] button to enter the Alarm Time Mode.
• Press the [SET] button to set the desired time zone. Refer to the Time Zone map on the display, P=Pacific, M=Mountain, C=Central and E=Eastern.
• Press the [MODE] to return to the time mode position.

If your watch is exactly an hour out, then you need to set the daylight saving time (DST) via the mode button.

If this is not the case, then I cannot help you.

Press the Mode button to display the alarm time then press the Adjust button till you get tot the corret time zone, press Mode again once have found the coreect timezone.

I had the same problem; go into Navigation > hit "I agree" > hit "Menu" > hit "settings" > hit "Localization" > then choose whatever timezone you're in. I'm in the eastern and mine was set to pacific.

Most GPS units get time from the GPS, and add an offset for your timezone.

If you are in the Eastern Daylight Savings zone, (Toronto, Florida, Buffalo etc), the offset should be -4.0. After the time change, in November, it would become -5.0.

If you are in Newfoundland, Canada, your offset should include an extra half hour.
