Saeco Odea Giro Plus - fast blinking red exclamation mark

Are multiple problems: 1) the moving mechanism needs to be cleaned, can be blocked.
2) The heating system can have problems.
My recommendation is to service it.

First try to prime the machine.
Turn on hot water and prime about 100 ml hot water. If the red light remain you have to change the flowmeter.

When the red exclamation point is flashing slow, something is not where it is supposed to be, bean hopper lid, door, brew mech, water tank empty, dregs box or water tray on dregs container is full. If the red exclamation point is flashing quickly, open the steam valve for pump priming. If pump turns on, and water passes correctly, the light should go off and return to heating stage. If not, we have a blockage or a pump that is not working correctly.

I had a crack in the tube that connected to the brew group that resulted in a similar dumping of coffee in the dregs (and below the dreg drawer and onto the counter) in my Saeco Odea Giro. Replacing the "Saeco Odea Giro Coffee Dispensing Tube, part number 11003468, fixed my problem. You can replace this yourself if you are very handy. The problem is with the flow meter which is a turbine unit that is installed before the pump.Either there is a blockage or the unit is bad.Have to open the machine to get into it.

That is the machine is saying to empty the drip tray, pull out the tray on the side and wait until the red light start flashing then put back the tray.

Check the end of the steam wand that might be blocked.

This is the descaling indicator.
If it flashing your machine needs descaling.

turn off each night and when going away! the machine will last longer.. without repair! also saves money (they use alot of power!
