The rear tub bearing is going. This is not a repairable fix as the bearing is molded into the plastic of the outer tub housing. (You can see the explosions on YouTube) Usually they will let go in high speed spin and do quite a bit of damage. These machines are made to last about 5 to 7 years and then be recycled. Find a Speed Queen dealer in your area and get a washer that is tested to last 25 years to a lifetime.

SOURCE: Samsung front loading washing machine won't spin out.

I have the exact same symptom with mine that is only 4 months old. I have a technician coming as soon as the part is available. The problem is the PCB control board. Samsung has corrected a known issue with the original and has manufactured a new one. This is a known issue and thus the part is hard to get. I have, however found a temporary fix. Unplug the machine for about a half an hour. I haven't figured out how long to do it exactly but when you plug it back in it should read PF for power failure. It's the equivalent of a reboot for your pc. I got about 3 days of service from the machine before it stopped spinning again. Another reboot and I'm back in business.

SOURCE: Samsung front loading washing machine won't spin out.

We had the same problem. We ordered the washer on Black Friday and just got it this past Sunday. We put laundry in and it would not spin. We got the dc code. We have been on the phone with Sears for the week. A repairman came out to look at the washer today. He couldn't find anything wrong and had to call the tech people for help. They said if the washer is in a space that is below 60 degrees it won't spin because the oil in the back of the drum is too thick when it is cold. They have to order a new board to heat the oil. We thought they were crazy. So we did our own experiment and put a heater in the basement. The washer worked! Now we are just waiting for the new board to see if that solves the problem so we don't have to heat the basement just to wash clothes. I am glad we can at least heat the basement and wash clothes until the part comes. I will post after it has a new board!

It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

SOURCE: My washing machine spin drum started making lot of noise and started vibrating a lot.

Not sure why this has happened in a top loader but if its less than a month old call the shop you purchased from , they should still be liable for repair or replacement .any older call the manufacturer for repair.

My washing machine makes a lot of noise

Almost impossible to answer this except for VERY generic answers. No make and model giver, top load or front load?

Ffind where the noise is coming from and stop it.

Are the neigbours next door, or are they below you? Sound deadening pads would help.

Make sure the machine is level, back to front and left the right. Make sure all 4 feet are firmly in contact with the floor.

Bearing noises, replace bearing. Gearbox on a top loader, strip and re-grease.

Uneven loading of clothes. Mix loads, large and small items. Don't overload the machine.

Don't do washing at night. Do it during the day or at weekends.

Samsung front load washer, jerks and makes noise when it first starts spinningthen it smooths out, and works fine.

on many machines that is normal, the shaking continues until the load is distributed relative evenly around the spinning drum. It is also possible it is the main bearing but I am not sure. The noise I am talking about would have been there since new. These links may help. Washer has noise during spin cycle Whirlpool Maytag Sears GHW9100LW1 Washer is Making Loud Noise

I have a samsung i did a load of washing this morning with no problems when i put the second lot in it started beeping and is displaying 4e i cant find my book so i don't know what the problem is

When error message 4E is displayed, you should clean the water hose mesh filter. To do this:

1. Turn off the water source to the washing machine.
2. Unscrew the hose from the back of the washing machine.
3. With a pair of pliers, gently pull out the mesh filter from the end of the hose and rinse it under water until clean. Also clean the inside and outside of the threaded connector.
4. Push the filter back into place.
5. Screw the hose back onto the washing machine.
6. Turn on the faucet and make sure the connections are watertight.

Also, please check the following:
• Make sure the source water faucet is turned on.
• Check the water pressure.

The drum is hitting the back of the machine

remove the bottom front panel (2 screws) look in and on the left and right side you should see 2 shockabsorbers. They probably need to be replaced. The 4 plastic pins need to be removed. I used a socket to compress the "flanges" and a hammer to tap them out.

How to change door seal on hotpoint FEW12 washing machine

For most front-loaders:
Lubricate the slot which fits over the tub with washing-up fluid. Starting at the top, press the seal so the flange of the tub enters the slot on the seal. Work your way round the using thumbs to force the slot on the tub flange. When slot is on the flange all way round, fit the spring which holds it on. The spring goes into a slot on the outside of the seal. This is quite difficult and you may need another pair of hands. Fit the outside of the seal to the cabinet - this is easy and fit the plastic clamping ring.
Test for leaks before using. Use rinse to test as the water level is higher.

(There is no glue anywhere, only clamps, etc)

Squeaky, noisy washing machine

Belts are an easy change. You access from the back of the machine. 3 or 4 screws take off the plate whihc will expose the belt. BE SURE TO UNPLUG 1st! so you don't get scocked
