GE TV will not trun-on

My Ge TV will not turn on
The green power lite will turn on for 5 seconds, then turn-off, then turn on for 5 seconds, then turn-off, then turn on for five seconds. then nothing. After about 60 seconds, I press the on switch, and the pattern mentioned above repaets itself.

Any idea what need replacing and the cost?

Thats a very easy repair which is almost always related to failed power capacitors CP150, CP120 and CP114. You can get the RCA repair kit which is the same as the GE from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit is called the ATC221 CP150, CP120 & CP114 repair kit . The kit contains the caps and the CD with instructions for the repair.

Sounds to me like you have a bad magnetron tube. Call GE Factory Service as there is either a 5 or 10 year parts warranty. Or schedule a service call online at www.geappliances.com
