How do I fix a watch that says good luck on it when I touch it

If you have the serial number, you can get in touch with Fossil customer service...but not sure if they can help.

I would not recommend changing this battery yourself unless you have the proper tools to close the case! If its a screw back then you will need a case wrench to close it otherwise you will scratch the case and case back! Plus it has a touch sensitive crystal! Screw that up and you will have to send it back to Tissot to have it repaired! That will NOT be covered by the warranty!

The Tissot Touch watch is expected to need "SYNCHRONIZTION" periodically. (that is, to synchronize the digital and analog portions.) The Tissot manual tells how to do this. This manual came with your watch and is available online from the Tissot website.

There is a very small sticker with very small red print just adjacent to the battery compartment. This little sticker states "once batteries are replaced, you need to touch AC with tweezers". I did it with metal tweezers and the watch display came to life. Good luck!

I know the secret that CASIO is hiding behind this thing. If your watch shows "OPEN" then you don't have to go to a CASIO retail store. You don't have to send your watch with money to CASIO or go to an Authorized CASIO Service Center. I know how. Just send me an e-mail to [email protected] and believe me you'll be happy to know the "SECRET" an get rid of this annoying "OPEN" over with. You want this fix! Than don't wait.

Push the touch button and then the centre of the screen untill the units deg C 24h etc come up then hold the touch button for 5 seconds. This puts it in sycro mode. You can then use the -+ buttons to make them both point to 12

I suggest writing to Tissot in both your home country and in the head office in Switzerland. Use both email and paper letters. If you can provide documentation of the attempted fixes that will really help your case. Since you had a history of problems you have every right to ask them to stand behind their product. Perhaps there is a new warranty on the replacement movement, for example. You have nothing to lose except a bit of time, paper and postage. You could even ask your dealer to back you up with this -- he or she will still get paid for the work if Tissot agrees to extend the warranty.

If it's under warranty by all means pursue a fix. You might have to send it to a warranty center instead of working with your local dealer.

"Water proof" and "water resistant" are very different. About 20 years ago all watch companies stopped promising waterproof and started using the term water resistant. It gives them wiggle room in the guarantee, unfortunately. I believe T-Touch is supposed to be water resistant to only a few meters.
