Hi i have a Westinghouse Insignia 55 DWM55F1Y1 I have a red light on the front and a dark screen i made the room dark and no signs of lights inside either with the flash light trick nothing.

I would suspect a problem in either the backlight assembly, or the power supply that drives it. If it's the power supply, the part may be over $100.

Power supply on monitor is being pulled down. Probably a bad inverter board. Confirm this by disconnecting the power cable to the board and apply power to the monitor. The flashing amber light will now cycle.

how I solve this issue of a customer of mine.
replaced power supply and one memory stick was faulty
lesson learned: check the obvious first.. .Powersupply.. if problems persists... check your ram... if you have 2 sticks of ram,, try reseating and using one at a time or swap with known good memory.
