SOURCE: Error 102 (net::err_connection_refused): Unknown

A sudden "error 102" from Chrome while Firefox continues to work is a very common sign of a hijacked system.
Some solutions to an "error 102" from the Chrome website include:
checking for malware clearing your Google Chrome cookies making sure Chrome is excepted in the firewall settings ensuring correct proxy settings
Because FF works and Chrome doesn't, I would think that some malware has adjusted your proxy settings in Chrome. This is relatively common.
Go to Control Panel, click Internet Options. Under the Connections Tab, click the button "LAN Settings". Make sure the "Automatically Detect Settings" box is checked. Make sure the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" is UNCHECKED. Hit "OK" and all that jazz to make sure your settings stick.
If you still have a problem, make sure your computer is completely clean, clear all your cookies and stuff, and check for any programs that might be blocking Chrome's access (firewalls and antispyware). Hope this helps somebody!

SOURCE: google chrome apps and extensions were deleted

well the easiest thing to do is sync your browser w/your email address. if you haven't done this, there's really no way to restore it unless you do it manually. to sync google chrome to your email do this:
go to the wrench icon @ the top right.
go to options
click the 'personal stuff' tab on the left
the first option is to sync your account, follow the setup instructions.
If you have already done this, there's a button to resync all your settings. good luck!!

Make website text larger on Android nougat

can you ask this at Lenovo community?
or learn what version of Android OS you have now.
then go to any android forum on earth or read manuals on it.
but here is where to ask first.
what version of android you run,
the answer will be the Chrome browser rules I bet.
website + chrome browser = larger font.
Android "Nougat" (codenamed N in-development) is the major 7.0 release of the Android operating system. It was first released as a developer preview on March 9, 2016
also what Chrome browser version you run now, can have bearing on hot keys possible in the app.
Chrome browser V72 is NOW.
there are 2 ways, ZOOM or Font size.
I'm guessing font size is your question;

next I will google for you, are you ready, 1,2,3 go google
lands this.,
If you want to change the font size for most of the websites you visit, you can change the settings of your Google Chrome browser to accommodate. Simply open your browser, click on the three vertical dots on the top right corner and click on "Settings." Scroll down to the bottom and click on "Show Advanced Settings." Under "Web Content," you can customize the set font size, page zoom and font. Note that though most of the websites you visit will appear in your set font size, page zoom and font settings, Google Chrome might not be able to adjust all websites.

How to get rid of the ask toolbar?

To uninstall Ask toolbar from your computer, you can follow the steps below:
1.To uninstall "Ask Toolbar" program from Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, click the "Start" button, then click on "Control Panel". If you are using Windows 8, drag your mouse pointer to the right edge of the screen, select "Search" from the list and search for "Control Panel".
2.When the "Control Panel" window opens click on the "Uninstall a program" option under "Programs" category.
(Note: If you are using the "Classic View" of the Control Panel, then you need to double-click on the "Programs and Features" icon instead.)
3.When the "Programs and Features" or the "Uninstall a Program" screen is displayed, scroll through the list of currently installed programs and uninstall "Ask Toolbar, Ask Toolbar Updater, Ask Updater" and any other recently installed or unknown programs.
Once you have successfully uninstalled the above mentioned applications from your system, you also need to reset your browser to remove Ask toolbar and Ask.com from the respective browser. To do this, refer to the steps listed below:
(Important: While resetting your browser(s), go through the on-screen instructions very carefully to understand what all changes will be made in your browser once it is reset.)

To reset Internet Explorer:
1.Open Internet Explorer, click on the "gear icon" in the upper right part of your browser, and then click on "Internet Options".
2.In the "Internet Options" dialog box, click on the "Advanced" tab, then click on the "Reset" button.
3.In the "Reset Internet Explorer settings" section, select the "Delete personal settings" check box, then click on the "Reset" button.
4.When Internet Explorer has completed its task, click on the "Close" button in the confirmation dialogue box. You will now need to close your browser, and then you can open Internet Explorer again.

To reset Mozilla Firefox:

1.In the upper-right corner of the Firefox window, click the Firefox menu button ( ), and then click on the "Help" ( ) button.
2.From the "Help" menu, choose "Troubleshooting Information".
(Note: If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting information page.)
3.Click the "Reset Firefox" button in the upper-right corner of the "Troubleshooting Information" page.
4.To continue, click on the "Reset Firefox" button in the new confirmation window that opens.
5.Firefox will close itself and will revert to its default settings. When it's done, a window will list the information that was imported. Click on the "Finish".
(Important: Your old Firefox profile will be placed on your desktop in a folder named "Old Firefox Data". If the reset didn't fix your problem you can restore some of the information not saved by copying files to the new profile that was created. If you don't need this folder any longer, you should delete it as it contains sensitive information.)

To reset Google Chrome:
Before resetting Google Chrome, you first need to remove Ask toolbar extensions from it, change your default search engine, and also change the homepage. To do this, refer to the following steps:
To remove Ask toolbar extensions:
1.Click the Chrome menu button on the browser toolbar, select "Tools" and then click on "Extensions".
2.In the "Extensions" tab, remove (by clicking on the Recycle Bin) the Ask Toolbar and any other unknown extensions from Google Chrome.
To change default search engine:
1.Click the Chrome menu button, then select "Settings", and click on "Manage search engines" in the "Search" section.
3.In the "Search Engines" dialog that appears, select "Google" and click the "Make Default" button that appears in the row.
4.Search for "Ask.com" in the Search Engines list, and click the "X" that appears at the end of the row.

To change default Homepage:
1.Click the Chrome menu button, and then select "Settings"
2.Go to "On Startup" section and select "Open the New Tab page"
To reset Google Chrome:
1.Click the Chrome menu button, and then select "Settings"
2.Click on "Show advanced settings" at the end of the page and go to "Reset Browser Settings" at the bottom of the page
3.On the dialogue box that opens, click on "Reset"

Cant open google crome proxy server cant locate

I'm having the same problem. I thought it was just me, but when I saw your question, I decided to do some research. I can't try these solutions now since I use Chrome at home, and now I'm at work. But here are some solutions that have worked for others (each of the following is a different possible solution--this is not one big solution):

CLEAR YOUR COOKIES
Click the Tools menu.
Click the Under the Hood tab and find the "Privacy" section.
In the "Cookie settings" section, click Show cookies.
Click Remove all.
Click Close.

ADJUST YOUR PROXY SETTINGS
Click the Tools menu.
Select Options.
Click the Under the Hood tab.
Click Change proxy settings. This opens the Internet Properties dialog.
Click LAN Settings.
Make sure that the "Automatically detect settings" checkbox is selected.
Click OK for all dialog boxes.

ADJUST INTERNET EXPLORER'S PROXY SETTINGS (CHROME SOMETIMES USES THOSE SETTINGS)
Open IE (version doesn't matter), Tools->Internet Options.
Go to the Connection tab.
Click "LAN settings."
UN-check "Use a proxy server"
Check the box "Automatically detect settings," then ok twice, and restart Chrome.

RESET WINSOCK
Open a command prompt. (Start>Run>Type "cmd" and press OK)
Type the following:
"netsh winsock reset catalog" (without quotes)
Press enter and then restart the computer.

CHANGE THE CHROME SHORTCUT OPTIONS
1. Right Click on Google Chrome SHORTCUT Icon that you wish to use.
2. Add the text, " --in-process-plugins" without the quotes, after the "chrome.exe" in Target field. It should look like, "...\chrome.exe --in-process-plugins" when you are done.
3. Save the changes, and restart Chrome if it is open.

RE-INSTALL YAHOO MESSENGER (IF YOU HAVE YAHOO MESSENGER) THEN RESTART YOUR COMPUTER
Nobody has any idea why this works, but it did work for some people.

CHECK THAT YOUR FIREWALL IS NOT BLOCKING CHROME
That would definitely cause a problem.

EXCLUDE CHROME.EXE FROM YOUR ANTIVIRUS SCANNER
Every antivirus scanner is different, but they should all have a setting to exclude certain files. Exclude "chrome.exe".

try this.
