I put my gps in a drawer in my truck went to turn it on and the power button is stuck

Hi,
Lightly tapping with your finger tip should free it. Alternately you may use a dull pointed object like the non-writing end of a ball pen and knock on the stuck switch. If neither will free the stuck switch, you may need something thin yet strong to slightly snap it off its current backward angle and set to realign properly. The idea is to squeeze the thin whatever between the green button and the housing and force realign. A fingernail pusher would be ideal.
Good luck and kind regards.

There are three ways to turn on your Nuvi
1. Press the Power On Switch
2.Connect it to a USB port on a Computer via the USB cable 3.Plug it into the Accessory Outlet or Cigarette Lighter receptacle in your vehicle
There is a good possibility that the Power On Switch has been depressed so far that it might in fact cause the unit to short out when powered up via either option 2 or 3 in which case it could cause Major Damage to your computer as well as your Nuvi In Option #3 you may just blow a fuse in your vehicle but toast the Nuvi. The Safe Route and the one which I would highly recommend is Return it to Garmin for Repair.

Deborah, most of the time the fuse is in the cigarette lighter. The end unscrews. However, if that fuse blew, you may have wiring that has shorted. Much more common to blow you lighter fuse, in the car. Happens with plugging in and turning the "lighter" body, and shorting the lighter socket.
