I defrosted the unit and cleard the drain as best i can without removing the built in. has a water and ice dispenser built into door. Water pours out no problem. I replaced the ice maker and no water flows into the maker. Multiple problems shall I call a repairman?

you have a clogged defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you acess to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somwhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials works awesome, after you clear it and all water drain down tube wrap a piece of solid copper wirearound the heater( black calrod heater right above the drain trough) and stick it in the whole maybe an inch or so. now everythime the heater comes on to defrost it will prevent the hole from freezing over

this could either be a blocked drain from the freezer not allowing defrost water to escape or the defrost heater failing to turn on due to a faulty defrost heater or defrost timer not enabling the water to escape

Once I saw that the drain tube went up over the coil before draining into the evaporator pan I decided to buy a small piece of flexible plastic tubing and re-route the tube so the water could freely flow down hill. It's been over two months with no additional problems. I can assume that since the water drains freely it doesn't stay trapped in the elbow freeze and the cause the collector tray to ultimately overflow.

If there is a reset button on your ice maker try pushing it. Many ice makers have two holes for reset. A general rule of thumb is if the ice maker fingers are stopped in a slightly vertical position then your ice maker unit is working. If the fingers are stopped anywhere else then it needs some sort of attention or replaced. Make sure there is water, or ice in the ice maker tray, if not then the problem is with water supply.

Take the metal back panel off the inside of the freezer, exposing the cooling coils. Below the coils, at the very bottom of the freezer compartment you will find a small drain hole. (Presently covered over with ice) Use hot (not boiling) water and a turkey baster to melt the ice and force hot water into the drain hole until the water runs out the drain hole (and into the defrost drain pan under the refrigerator) on it's own. This should be a Fix-Ya for your refrigerator.
