Visit the camera manufacturers website and download Windows 10 supported software. Or remove the SD card and use a card reader to download photos.

SOURCE: USB port problems

Try going into the BIOS and see if the USB Ports are enabled. I don't know what type of system you have. When you turn on the pc it will prompt 'F1 to enter setup' or it might be F10. Do you have a USB mouse or keyboard? Try those in different ports.

SOURCE: USB Ports dont work!

Try deleting the USB controller in the system properties and rebooting. The system should reinitialize the hardware and reinstall the drivers, which should take place automatically.

You have to install the softwares and drivers CD that comes with camera first, before installing the third party editing software.

Usb not recognised when camara plugged in

Can you try a wall plug adapter with usb, can be for another device as long as you plug the usb into it. Try another usb port, you may need to install the software first though. If it will charge via the wall , and not a working port on the pc you need to download and install the software from the manufacturer.

Windows 7 does not recognize coolpix L820

If windows does not recognise the camera you must suspect the driver. I'm more a camera man, ten a Windows man, because with me everything works (I do have Win7 and Mac OSX 10.9.1)
Did you try to install Adobe Photoshop Elements, or something like Gimp? With these software you should be able to transfer pictures too. If these programs also don't work, it must be the driver.

My lap top unable to recognized my finepiz digital camera when i hook up with the usb port

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

My computer wont recognise my FinePix A610 camera

Suggest that you go tp my computer as the answer above has suggested and attempt to open drive(memory chip) in the camera and download. If not suggest removing the memory chip from the camera and try accessing via Walmart or other stores photo Kiosk.

Suggest opening Fin-pix first before connecting camera.

Through fine-pix search for camera as if it was an external drive. Hope this helps?

I used to be able to plug in my camera to the computor and get all my pictures downloaded and now all of a sudden, I CAN"T and I need to find out WHY>??????? Thanks

normally in windows xp allmost all the makes, models, and brands of digital cameras are recognised as mass storage device, and shows it as extended drive, when you connect it to the computer via USB. If earlier it was recognising and have stopped all of a sudden ,there may be
1) defective USB cable.
2) Defective USB port in the camera
3) problem with the operating system of the computer. Try connecting it on some other computer.

I have a new optical USB mouse but the windows vista on my lap top did not recognise it it sea it but need driver to install it i tried every sing on the lap top to find solution but failed regarding i...

Usually Vista does not need driver to install an USB Mouse.
Try this:
Turn off the laptop, then put the mouse connection. Turn on again. See if now it is working. The mouse should be connected in "off"
If still does not work, try put in other USB port of the laptop. Usually a laptop has at least 2 USB port. Remember to connect it always in "off".

Problems downloading photos from camera

Unless someone else on the forum offers something more specific, I'd be very tempted to borrow a USB cable from a friend and see if using that instead of yours works. (Doesn't have to be from an Olympus camera - anything that has the same connectors on - camera, MP3 player, etc lead will do). A.
