Every model is a bit different, but there should be an ice maker option on the control panel. Your best bet is to look in your owners manual or do a search for your model number online.
Sounds like you have a problem with water valve/triple solenoid assembly. It controls the flow of water to the door and ice maker. I believe it comes as a complete unit.
