SOURCE: dryer still wont heat
you could remove and bench test the theromostat. my kenmore would not complete the circut to heat at all with a faulty thermostat. Just use a jumper wire to bypass it and test it THERE WILL BE NO SHUT OFF COULD HEAT UP TOO MUCH IF LEFT RUNNING.
SOURCE: dryer will not heat
Check to make sure you have 240V at the outlet. If you do, check the continuity of the element and thermostats. If still no heat, it could be the temperature setting switch, the timer or the motor.
Good luck!
SOURCE: Whirlpool Dryer not heating
There is many different things it could be! most of the time it is not the heating element. You have thermal fuses and safety switches. I bet you 10 to 1 if you locate the thermal fuse on the element cannon say 1 foot up from the incoming voltage from the wires to the heating element.
1. either disconnect power to the unit, take continuity on every fuse try the one i suggested first.
2. the same exact fuse im talking about disconnect power and connect both wires together, dont ground it out, plug power back in and then try it.
Note this is only advice and Whirlpool Parts Surplus is not responsible. Try that give us a call or hit that link and find your thermal fuse part number.
SOURCE: how do I remove a Samsung Dryer DV4006 heating element
You will NOT have to remove the drum, as the previous poster said. Unplug the dryer (VERY IMPORTANT). Undo the screws for the cover at the top right at the back of the dryer. Your element is here. Detach it from the cover plate. The undo the bottom cover plate so you can access the plug where the element attaches. You will need to reach in and manipulate the wire out of the clips (easy).
To put it back, just reverse what I've said.

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.
