Unplug washer. With multimeter on ohms at lowest setting disconnect wires going into valve and place leads on lugs of valve you should get fairly low ohms reading, if you get infinity your coil is bad.

Littleone.. please check your instructions.. some washers now dont need Hot water connection to them...they heat their own as part of the efficiency settings on the wash programmes themselves!

SOURCE: Not enough water coming into dishwasher. How do

If not enough. take apart the source hose and the inlet valve and look for restrictions..Machines now days use less water and the inlet of water is timed and not controlled by the float switch, soooo restricted water means you have less water.

I would disconnect the hose at the inlet valve, put it in a bucket and test it's flow. Sometimes the rubber washer deteriorates in the shut off valve, under the sink, for the dishwasher.... But both the hose and the inlet valve to the machine can have screens that plug up...

Samsung top load washer continuous water filling

here's the part that may be defective....

https://www.appliancepartspros.com/frigidaire-water-inlet-valve-134190200-ap3363282.html

Call them to verify it's correct for your unit. there's a video too on how to replace it.

If your washing machine won't stop filling, the valve may be damaged or stuck open. Here's how to test it:
  1. Turn your washer on and let it start filling up.
  2. As it's filling, disconnect the power to your washer.
  3. If the water keeps filling, you'll know the water inlet valve didn't close. (It's most likely broken, and you'll need to replace it).
  4. Immediately turn off the water so the washer doesn't overflow.
Best to you

My Samsung front load washing machine is about 5 yrs. The tub fills up with water in between uses. Anyone know why or how to fix it?

The other item to check would be your water inlet valve. Check it for continuity with a multi meter it should show Ohms or a closed circuit. Also check for hard water and debris build up in the screens located on the inlet valve To test it when water is overflowing unplug the unit and see if it still overflows or continues to fill. If it stops when unplugged. Then it is not a water inlet problem but an electrical signal problem going to ur water inlet valve. Possibly from the panel or board. You can also do a live volt test to see if it is getting the full 120 current, but be sure to unplug unit before testing as this is a live test.
Also another trick to check the water valve, is to first cut the water off and remove the hoses off the back of the washer. Then one at a time point the hoses inside the washer tub and turn the water back on. If you don't have good water pressure, turn the water back off and remove the strainer that should be in one end of the hose. Inspect the strainer to see if it is stopped up, clean it and reinstall it. Now repeat this test. If you have good water pressure now, reinstall hose and your problem is fixed

By the way my advice is free cuz God is good!

Samsung 650p washing machine goes to water reuse when starting any wash programme.does not even fill water.

water inlet valve. Check it for continuity with a multi meter it should show Ohms or a closed circuit. To test it when water is overflowing unplug the unit and see if it still overflows or continues to fill. If it stops when unplugged. Then it is not a water inlet problem but an electrical signal problem going to ur water inlet valve. Possibly from the panel or board. the most likely cause is the water valve. What happens is the water valve will stop letting cold water into the washer; therefore, once the washer gets to rinse it will either stop or not do anything during the whole rinse cycle.
This is because when you selected your water temperature, you selected warm/cold or hot/cold. The hot water came in and you didn't notice any problems. When it got to rinse, the cold water the cold water won't come in. Therefore, the washer does nothing.
To check the water valve, first cut the water off and remove the hoses off the back of the washer. Then one at a time point the hoses inside the washer tub and turn the water back on. If you don't have good water pressure, turn the water back off and remove the strainer that should be in one end of the hose. Inspect the strainer to see if it is stopped up, clean it and reinstall it. Now repeat this test. If you have good water pressure now, reinstall hose and your problem is fixed.
If you still don't have good water pressure, the problem is in your house plumbing and you need to call a plumber. If you had good water pressure the first time you performed the test, the water valve is bad and needs replacing.

Agitator continuously on

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Lid Switch Assembly If the washer stops mid cycle the lid switch assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any electrical switches with an Ohm meter for continuity. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly If the washer stops mid cycle the door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Water Inlet Valve If the washer stops mid cycle the water inlet valve cold water side may have failed. Most washers have a cold water rinse and so if they can't fill with cold water they just sit indefinitely waiting for the cold water to enter. If there is cold water to the water inlet valve and the cold water works in other parts of the cycle - or to make warm water - the valve is not the problem.

Main Control Board If the washer stops mid-cycle the main control board might be defective. This is not common. Check other causes first such as the lid or door switch and other components.

Timer If the washer stops mid cycle the timer might be defective. This part is often misdiagnosed, check other components before replacing this timer.

My washer will not fill with water

The first thing to check is the water inlet valve. Unplug the machine, turn off the water, and remove the supply hoses. Check the small metal screens inside the opening on the water inlet valve and make sure they are clear of rust or debris. Check the solenoids using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Test for continuity. A lack of continuity will mean a bad solenoid and the valve will need replaced.
If the inlet valve checks out alright, then the next place to look would be a malfunctioning water level/pressure switch. It is a diaphragm like device with a small plastic tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. Make sure there are no obstructions in or damage to the plastic tube. The switch can be tested for continuity in the same manner as the water inlet valve solenoids. Really sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

Water on washer on cold real slow took out the screen still slow, think it mite be the solenoid.

Yes, if the screens are clean then it is most likely the solenoid, most likely on the cold water side. It can be tested for continuity with a multimeter or ohmmeter. A lack of continuity will mean a bad one and the water inlet valve assy will need replaced. Best wishes.
