In the UK the chair should be fit for purpose for at least a year. Most consumer items come with a year warranty.

Your first point of call should be the place where you purchased the chair, take along with your proof of purchase. Explain that it should last for more than a year.

If they do not want to help, ask for the manufacturer's contact details.

So you should write, (recorded delivery/email) to the manufacturer and ask for the chair to be replaced.

If you truly love the chair and get no response from the manufacturer, consider hiring an electrician to take fix at the chair for a fixed price.

Testimonial: "thanks but we are in the US and can not get in touch with the manufacturer???"

SOURCE: where can I purchase a plug in outlet chord (power chord) for the osim medic 380 massage chair

If you are looking for the male end that plugs into the wall, you can use any 3 prong plug made for 120VAc. Just cut off the old one and connect wires to the new one. Black wire to brass terminal (if not brass or color coded, the smaller blade), white wire to silver terminal (no coding, larger blade) Green wire to green ground terminal. Secure in plug and you're goo to go. If you need to replace the plug on the unit itself if it has one or if its hard wired (usually is) you may need to disassemble that part to replace or reattach the cord.

We bought a magnavox infra red heater in November 2018 and it keeps tripping because it sounds like the fan is not working

Turn off the power and try spinning the fan manually and then turn back on. If the fan seems hard to turn you can try some WD 40 on the shafts but it could indicate a faulty fan. If it turns freely and doesn't work you either need a new fan or the thermostat is faulty. Some units are instant on and don't have a thermostat.

How does a diamond detector work?

A conventional diamond tester has a metal tip that is heated and then applied to the cooler surface of a diamond. Heat transference occurs, and since the heated tip of the tester also heats the diamond, the read-back from the diamond to the tester is a match; this indicates that the stone is truly a diamond. To my knowledge, power chairs and scooters do not have the ability to accept adaptors to attach additional items to draw current from the batteries. This can cause excessive wear on the batteries and cause them to need replacing more often than most people's Insurance companies will pay for. Also, there is a safety issue with operating the power chair with other items attached or being carried; if they were to fall under the wheels they would become tangled and cause the power chair to overturn.
A safer alternative may be to purchase a microwaveable neck wrap that you can warm up and lay across her feet; some have aromatic herbs inside that can be quite pleasant. You may also want to investigate battery operated electric socks that hunters use as a way of keeping her feet warm.

I hope this information is helpful to you, good luck!

Being an intermittent problem can be a bear to trouble shoot. It would be nice to know what chair you have and whether Medicare purchased the chair for you. If Medicare purchased the chair then they will pay for most of the repair cost Hope this helps you

DJ, Did Medicare purchase your Mom's chair? You can contact Sunrise Medical at 1-800-333-4000 and ask if the chair is under warranty. You will have to give them the chair's serial number.

If the chair is less than a year old then all the parts are under warranty except the batteries. If it is not under warranty and Medicare purchased her chair contact Repair Xpress at 1-877-581-3733 to get it repaired medicare will cover 80% of the repair costs Hope this helps you
