Here is the webite to purchase the carpet attachment for your steam mop.

Before you buy the carpet attachment, you might want to read this review. I found it very helpful because I couldn't find much on how it works on your carpet or any reviews on the attachment. Her comments were all positive.

SOURCE: My shark steam mop heats up but won't steam. help

Problem: mineral dleposits. Just fixed mine.... DO THIS OUTDOORS. Add 1/2 c CLR to the tank, let sit for an hour, turn on, allow to heat and pump. May have to refill with CLR and repeat. Be persistent, and eventually you'll blow out a wad of dissovled minerals followed, happily, by billows of steam. Again, do this outdoors and keep the mop pointed away from people, plants and things. (I aimed mine into a cardboard box.) Follow up with a couple of tanks of water and pump until empty to clean out any residual CLR and loosened deposits. (I continued to get some black precipitate through the first water cleaning.) I will add that I began this process first with white vinegar, then with Lime Away..no luck put perhaps I was not sufficiently persistent. Or perhaps it was the sequence of attempts. (Also, do not take off the mop head...the part to which you attach the pads...it's tough to get off, does not allow access to parts that need cleaning (thought it would, not not so), and practically impossible to get back on.)
Alternatively, call Shark...they'll offer to repair for $18 plus $10+/- shipping, or may offer you a new one at "preferred customer" rate of $39.95 plus shipping. Good luck, and please remember to try the CLR outside.

SOURCE: shark steam mop

I had the same prob and found this site off google looking for the solution.

I went back to my shark and took out all the screws, some don't feel like they were coming out but it came apart. Take a pair of pliers and release the spring clip holding the hose to the heat nozzle. Then pull off the hose. Then take a paper clip, unkink it so it's sort of straight with a curve to go into the hole . Shove it in and out to clean out the hole. I got my fingers blasted with residual steam so you should let it cool first. But I think the steam bursting out helped clean out the hole. Don't throw it away till after you try that..It worked great after that. All the best, Satch

Shark stopped steaming how to fix this

It may be mineral deposits. Empty reservoir of water, add 1/2 cup of CLR. Let sit 1 hour. Take mop outside with a mop head on but not the cloth padding. Plug it in and start pumping the handle to prime it. I used cardboard to do this on to cushion the mop and soak up moisture. Keep pumping handle until the mineral deposits clear and full steam is coming out. When I was done, I unplugged the mop, dumped out remaining CLR, and rinsed out mop reservoir with water. Please add fresh water, plug in and steam out rest of CLR out of tube leading to mop head. Otherwise your mop will still issue out CLR steam. As always, be careful to unplug and let the unit cool down before adding or removing CLR, water or mop head. Steam can cause serious burns.
