Maps froze during download on my garmin streetpilot 2720. Cannot use Garmin gps
You may have to do a full reset which will delete everything on the Garmin. There should be a very small hole in the back which has a reset switch inside. Use a paperclip to press it. If you have a booklet, read that, it should say where the reset button is.

i dont think you can upload maps to an i3, it can only load pre-loaded maps on micro-sd cards.

The Garmin C340 comes preloaded with maps while the I3 require that the maps be installed onto a micro sd card.
You can place the micro SD card into a SD adapter and use a regular card reader to download your maps. When the software ask for 'Device' to download to use the drop down arrow and find your drive letter associated with the card reader. Using a card reader will be much faster since the it is ubs 2.0 vs ubs 1.1
You could also go to Garmin website and download and install the USB drivers, see link below.

haveing a hard time trying to download any updates. I dont have the disk eather for my unit. I have the streetpiolt 2720

There are no free map updates for the StreetPilot Series.
The newer models do come with a free update that must be downloaded within 60 days of purchasing the system.
There are utilities for adding POI (Points of Interest) as well as Browser plugins that can be used to add Favourite Locations from Google maps. these updates are available from the garmin website.
