1. Press HOME
2. MENU
3. tap Settings -> Locale & text -> Select Locale
4. Select your language..
If spanish doesnt show, your version of software might not have spanish and you will need to contact htc or the distributor nearest from you to eventually change the version.

you'll be need to flash an WWE (World Wide English) ROM image to your device, since it went out from factory with a spanish operating system. if you want, I can teach you how to do that.
Not only can you change the input settings but you can change the Regional Settings and Language of the device by going to Settings ==> System ==> Regional Settings==> select your language.
This is from my tomtom one (not sure what edition) so the page numbers refer to mine.
1.Touch the screen for the menu
2.on page 1 of 3 on the menu, touch the blue wrench (change prefs)
3.press the black right arrow key to page 4 of 7 in preferences and touch the flags icon
4.press your desired language
