SOURCE: GE 169165 12 cup digital coffe maker

after 60 cycles it goes into the clean function, the clean light comes on..., remove the charcoal filter from the water tank, fill tank with 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar if you want to clean it, just water if you want to get it out of clean mode..., press clean button/light for 3 seconds and clean button flashes and the cleaning process begins...It takes 60 minutes / 1 hr. to complete, light goes off when complete. reinsert filter in tank .

No one has just the individual part, but you can get the whole brew basket with the part included on Cuinart's website, or by calling them.

SOURCE: Coffee grounds overflow out of basket into top of coffee pot.

Coffee overflowing onto the counter is a common complaint found in response to many automatic drip coffee makers. The following are potential solutions that can be used to rule out "operator error" vs. a defect or malfunction:

1. Do not "pack" or otherwise overfill the cone/basket with grinds.
2. Ensure you are using the correct grind for an automatic drip coffee maker, neither too fine nor too course. (See instruction manual.)
3. Do not overfill with water. Use the carafe to pour water into the reservoir. This is because a "cup" in coffee terms is defined as 6 oz, not 8 oz. Note: Some coffee makers define as little as 5 oz as a cup.
4. Make sure the filter cone/basket clicks into place and that the carafe is centered and pushed all the way in.
5. Try a permanent filter rather than a paper filter or vice versa.
6. Only use the correct permanent or paper filter (see manual).
7. Verify that the Pause 'n Serve button isn't sticking. If it is activated too long the brew will escape over the top of the cone/basket. This may be more apt to happen if the alignment of the carafe and the basket is incorrect.
8. Clean your machine with vinegar or as instructed by your user manual at least three times per year, more if your water supply is hard. A properly cleaned machine is less likely to suffer a burned out heating element, to take too long to brew, to produce "off" tasting coffee, or to clog and overrun the filter basket as the water runs through the grinds.
9. Ensure that the coffee machine is sitting level on the counter.

SOURCE: were do you buy the big filters for 42 cup coffe

Hello, My name is Mike.

Large coffee makers of this kind have a basket. There is no need for a filter. Now, there are filters you can buy that would work for this size if you felt for some reason you have to have one.

For example you can buy large Bunn filters, and just pinch a hole in the middle and put it over tube and now you have a filter. Now, personally me being a expert on espresso machines as well as owning a coffee company myself. I would not use any filter, as this machine is designed not to have one. If you do use one, problem is, with that type of volume of making a pot, will make your coffee weak and inconsistent.places to buy a large filter for the machine to make it work is wall mart, k-mart- sears-and for business is united grocers, other wise known as cash and carry. I hope this helps, Mike the Bean Man.

Will not process the water to make coffee

the coffe maker might be clogged up so here' what to do: Look through the clear plastic panel on the side of the coffee maker's water tank to make sure that it has water in it.
  • Clean your Sunbeam coffee maker, You can wash the removable filter basket and carafe in hot, soapy water and pour 4 cups of white vinegar into the water reservoir of your coffee maker. Start the brewing cycle with no coffee grounds to allow the vinegar to clean the inside of the coffee maker. Rinse away the vinegar by running the brewing cycle twice with only clean, fresh water.
  • 8 Check the removable filter basket to see if the filter has collapsed if you find coffee grounds in your brewed coffee. If the paper filters collapse often you can wet them before you place them inside the filter basket so that they will stick to the basket and stay in place. or check this link because it might need a new hose. Not getting all the water

Faulty check valve inside the tubing at the bottom of the unit. This is the tubing conveying water from the outlet of the tank into the heater coil prior to going into the coffe basket.
I have the same problem but cannot find replacement check valve.

COFFEE GROUNDS COME THROUGH THE HOLES IN COFFEE BASKET. WHAT TYPE COFFE SHOULD I USE TO ELIMINATE THIS? IS THEIR A FILTER MADE FOR TJHIS URN

Your coffee is too finely ground for your basket. 2 solutions: buy "regular" ground coffee from now on, OR use filters inside the basket. Many 30 cup or 45 cup maker's baskets are sized so that a normal filter, flattened-out, and a small hole torn in the middle will fit into basket and prevent the grounds from passing through.
