Take the switch so it is accessable
take the two wires and touch them together or hook them together bypassing the switch
does it shut off or it should not have spark?
if so you have a bad grounding problem if it does not shut off,if it does your switch is still bad
2 wires one tied to ign. module and other to a metal ground all the switch does is dead short. the igniton to shut down the spark and in turn kills the engine.
Be sure your grounding is tight and clean and all wires are intact and making good contact to their designated areas (no broken wires)
hope this helps some for you
change spark plug if the same the coil are bad about going out on that model
SOURCE: leaf blower won't start. I think it's the module
If you haven't done it already, install a new plug. It's possible you're being fooled by a faulty/fouled plug. A fouled plug may not spark visibly - like if there is dirt down in the recesses of plug around the electrode. It would be a good idea to check it with a new plug before spending $80 bucks for a new ignition module.

Try taking the shroud off of the motor and and cleaning the magnets on the fly wheel. Also clean the two little prongs next to the fly wheel. You can also clean the end of the spark plug cable that hooks onto the plug. I use fine sandpaper or emery cloth.
Good Luck
