You appear to be talking about two completely different watches and lumping them together into one good question and one vague question, "reset the time"? Information on both of them.

How do I change my battery in my joefox watch # 1523 B hands stoped working ? Edward Zubillaga

  • Tip & How-To about Watches
Changing Watch Batteries Lots of posters ask "what is the battery in my (name of watch)" with a view to changing it yourself. This is a bad idea for many reasons. You don't have the tools or knowledge to remove a rotary screw on back, or the gasket sealant for a waterproof watch. Some fashion watches have 4 traditional screw and need professional grade jeweler screwdrivers. Also, there are about 20 batteries commonly used in watches, in various sizes and internal technology, Lithium Ion, Silver Oxide and Manganese Alkaline. If you buy them, you generally have to buy 10!

Don't sweat the details. Just take the watch to your local jeweler. They have all the batteries at hand and the tools to remove the back. It is done whilst you wait for $8 to $15!

I bought this watch in May of last year. For the last 3 months, every 2 to 3 weeks I have to reset the hand home position. Once that is done, I have to then reset the home city and time manually. What...

Hand home positioning normally has nothing to do with time setting.
Just set your local time and date and then you can do the hand home positioning procedure. This will not affect the time setting. If hands, after a while,do not show correctly, this means that the watch is under severe magnetic field, after severe shock or finally watch malfunction.
You must know that on this type of watches analog time follows digital time.

I have a 3054. About 3 days ago it reset to 1-1-2005 and has never changed. it now reads 1-3-2005 at 5:57 PM

This same problem (watch resetting to 1/1/205) has happened to me 2x now, about 2 months or so apart.

I have had this watch for ~10+ years now, and works perfectly.

I have replaced the battery 2x.

Again, the watch works great.

I just realized that in the .pdf manual, there is no indication for a "low-battery" condition.

I am guessing that the "low-battery" is what is causing the watch to reset the date/time to 1/1/2005.

Any others having this same problem if this watch resetting to 1/1/2005 after the watch has run just great (auto time syncing, etc.)?

This watch Keeps great time!

The hands on my Citizen watch (movement caliber number C320) don't reset properly. I have followed the factory instruction several times with the same result: the minute hand moves to a position 5 - 10...

This is normal. The watch begins timing when you reset it. That 5 to 10 minutes is the time that it took you to do the all reset procedure and you can see that the same time is shown in the digital display - so everything is aligned. It is actually pretty cool that it does that. Source: just did the all reset having dropped my watch. Love this watch!

My husband's watch keeps resetting to 1/1/05 Eastern time. I've reset it a few times and its good for a few days then back to 1/1/05 Eastern. We live in the West and it's 2010 (so he can look at his watch...

Hi,the problem is either from a weak battery or a mechanical fault in the engine of the watch,
i think you should replace the battery,if the problem persists afterwards, then it's time to give him a wrist watch as a birthday gift.

Be cool.

I have a DKNY OLED watch, but when I press the button for the time, it keeps resetting itself (both time and date) and no matter how many times I reset the time, it keeps resetting itself. How can I fix...

It sounds like your watch is not coming out of set mode. Make sure that when you are done setting the watch that the display is no longer flashing. This is usually done by holding down the mode or reset button.
If this is not the case then have the watch AC'd. As long as there is no problem with the circuit board this should fix the problem.
