hi,
it sounds like the oven safety valve is bad, it will reach a point when the pilot will make enough energy to keep itself lit, but not enough to open the gas valve to light. it will need to be replaced. if you are handy you can do this, but make sure you shut off the gas to the range first. you should be able to find a replacement online, if not check with a local LP gas company that sells parts to the public.

hi
Clogged burners are a very common problem with gas ranges because foods spilled on the burners block the gas ports and prevent ignition. On some gas ranges you can remove the top ring of the burner to expose the ports. Here's how to clean a burner:
Step 1: Turn off the power supply, both gas and electric, to the range. Then remove the burner.
Step 2: Soak the burner in a solution of mild household detergent and water. Clean it with a soft cloth.
Step 3: Clear the gas ports with a pin or needle, rinse the burner, and let it dry. Caution: Do not use a toothpick or matchstick to clean the gas ports. If the tip of the wood gets stuck in the burner ports, it could cause a serious blockage.
Step 4: When the burner is completely dry, replace it, and turn on the power and the gas supply.
thank u.................

Hello
Welcome to Fixya
My name is Huum,
The igniter is bad even if you see the spark.
the igniter must first get red hot with enough amps to ignite the gas or the valve will not open or if ope it will shut off!
Thank You For trusting us with your question
Please remember to leave a solved rating before you leave!

You ignitor is working and sensor is working because it will fire up. so those pesky coils are intermittant because they get hot and quit cool off and work some more . replace them
Here is a little ditty I wrote some time ago about this subject

Hi
You have one of these faults:
Faulty FSD (Flame Safeguard Device). When you turn your oven on the FSD lets a small amount of gas through, after about 30-90 seconds the FSD is satisfied and allows more gas to come through......this then moves over to the.......
Oven Thermostat, this will sense the heat from the oven and adjust the temperature accordingly.
If the flame doesn't go high after 60 seconds it's the FSD, if it does but then it goes low and fails to increase then it's the Thermostat.
Either way you need to get a qualified gas engineer to look at it.
I hope this helps
Steve :)
