Hello, please advise, I have completely stopped working on the Pioneer VSX-520 Receiver This is the only combination of buttons. The receiver clicks on it to turn on the display, and in 3 seconds it goes out, dead. ADV SURROUND + STANBY / ON the relay clicks, the display is dimmed, and the VOL 56 and the click again and the receiver is dead. Does anyone please advise what's behind the problem?
Hello Dugen, obviously you have a problem in the function stage, it may be missing a voltage or you can have voltage leaks in the output amplifiers, you should check it with the service manual, if you have the knowledge and if not you have to take it to a specialized technical service

Hello,
Unfortunatelly your receiver has failed. The front panel is telling you one of the power modules is probably bad. Not an DIY type of repair. These parts are near $40.00, plus cost of replacing.
Look at options to replace your trusted receiver with a new one.
Good luck

Test with an surround sound media ie. Blu-ray or DVD)_. Disconnect the front and all other speakers that are working to see if sound from the missing speakers are heard. If this doesn't work then start by tracing and checking all the wires from the receiver to the speakers for bad/shorted/open connections.
PLEASE VOTE IF THIS WAS HELPFUL. THANKS & GOOD LUCK.
