SOURCE: Samsung side by side refrigerator not working

I am somewhat of a fix-it guy and here is my take....I also have the same refridge with other problems, and have done alot of research and discussions with the local repair techs and Factory rep. Here we go: The Samsung models are very prone to problems arising from power fluctuation's that fry the motherboards. One problem may be that the defrost circuit fails and the unit freezes up causing a lack of cooling and loud banging of the compressor. To run a diagnostic of the unit, you need to press both power freeze buttons for 10 seconds beeps will sound and release, the dashes on the display showing if any circuits are bad.(self diagnostic) This is what the service guy will do then come in with the part and replace. With a bad board, the diagnostics reveals no problem and the service agent will just start replacing parts, at your expense! Also the part #'s will show discontinued but they just changed parts #'s.. Be careful, my dealer said all parts were no longer available....he was wrong! Motherboards are a bear, I believe my model has 3!Most techs are not familiar with Samsung and will not be able to correctly diagnose the problems, mine came out and said it! "We do not Know and the factory will not give us any idea what the problem is" We're sorry! That was 3 month ago, and now I have a beautiful yard fixture! a $1400.00 yard fixture!! hope this helps someone..

SOURCE: compressor makes loud noise when it shuts off

If you know that the compressor is making the noise, I really believe you need to prepair to replace the the air conditioner. If under warranty it would be wise to contact the dealer for options.

SOURCE: Loud noise

The compressor fan is making the noise and causing overheating as well. Easy fix. Call Danby with model # and they can figure out correct fan. Part will cost around $10 and is easy to replace. Plug and play with screws. Good luck

SOURCE: Loud screeching noise coming from the unit.

A screeching or squealing noise usually comes from the fan motor. There may be an oil port and you can buy a small telescoping oil bottle at a super hardware store or an a/c supply house. Before putting in he oil, remember to TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE UNIT and only use a light squeeze on the bottle - over oiling will cause a mess inside the motor. It may be a sealed motor and no oil ports. In either case, budget for a new motor as if it's to the squealing stage, the bearings are already damaged and it's a just matter of time before before the motor bearings fail. If possible, get oil on the bearings ASAP - and use the proper lightweight oil for made for this application.

SOURCE: Ice maker (Uline) just stopped working, not freezing, no noise.

U-line does make compressors as long as its not a r12 system. As far as the icemachine turn breaker off for a couple of min then try it. If same results then it could be a board.

The motor in my freezer makes a very loud noise and sounds like it is trying to start, it takes a few seconds before it stops the noise, then starts running the freezer.

That's usually mounts inside the compressor. It could still last awhile so if you can put up with the noise just wait for it to quit before replacing the compressor or getting a new fridge.

Loud noise

It is probably a rotary compressor unit.
They tend to make a start up noise.
Some technicians advocate adding a booster starting device to help the compressor start more quickly, thereby reducing startup noise.

Rear brakes on muy 2000

Generaly speaking, if you're getting about 2 years out of a set of pads, then you're doing ok. The grinding you're hearing is the pad material wearing off to the metal backing of the pad due to normal wear. Also make sure you do a caliper service and clean and lube the slide pins, as well as the saddle where the pads sit in the bracket.

Mfd2561hes Maytag Refrigerator

This sounds like you have a Maytag Ice2O. You need to find out if that cound is a relay/overoad failure on the compressor or the compressor going out. I can say from experience that some of those have a tecumsie comprossor in them and the do tend to fail. If you hear a loud electrical humming sound coming from the compressor and your getting a warm up then you need to record this sound on some kind of sound recorder and call a Whirlpool warrenty certified tech. out to look at it if it's less than 5 years old from perchase date then Whirlpool will pick up the part and labor bill of a compressor installation also check your owners manual for warrenty details. Hit me up let me know.

Refrigerator makes lot of noise

based from your story. the noise could be coming from the compressor as it starts. compressor usually vibrates a lot when starting. it would last from a few seconds to a few minutes then would normalize as it sucked all the evaporator pressure down to its normal readings. you can check the rubber mountings of the compressor, you may need to replace them. also check for some tubings that may be rubbing or touching as the compressor vibrates. tighten alllso those mounting bolst of the compressor. that should solve your problem. if everything is done and still the same, the noise could be coming inside the compressor which there will be no solution but to replace the compressor. the cleaning that you did helped it a little bit because the vibration decreased a little coz it was able to breathe a little.

Kenmore Refrigerator making loud noise

Does the sound occur when the compressor is starting or shutting down? and only lasts for a couple of seconds? I had one do the exact same thing. Sometimes it would also wake me up at night. If so, I'm afraid he is right. On the bright side, it worked fine for years. I gave it to a girlfriend when I purchased a bigger one and it is still working today. The only thing you can do is change the compressor, which is probably not $$ practical.
