Computer when booted will beep 5 times pause and do it again. After doing it several times the power supply fan starts running real fast. I have several computers doing much the same thing.
How many Is several, over 3? and all beep 5time?
if all do that the someone stole the ram. end story.
new RTC coin cell battery, (real time clock)
good, they are due.
but do all PCs fail? unstated, or how many.
step 2 , in bios set BIOS to factory defaults.
step3b, in bios turn off PXE rom and PXE boots for ever.
step 3, test hDD, many will fail now. and new OS installs fail. we run a Linux boot stick and test the hDD.
step 4, if the PC will not boot the HDD,
F1 means the PC can not boot the HDD,
What makes you think any of these can boot at all?
this old.
I'd make sure I can see the HDD, with a Linux or windows 7 PE boot media first.
then see if the HDD is even there?(side off?)
then if there, see if it has files there. boot files and windows and users folders there, if not there is no OS there.
that is and old PC, DC series.
seen there yet your support page, and manuals.?

2006 (came with XP) still expect XP to work? I will not it is a virus magnet.
the sure is simple buy win7 and install it.
if the HDD is bad , the install will fail. (at any point)
that simple.
the post codes are here, see this yet?

and this great document on this DC series
5 = RAM failure, reset ram yet,
try each stick 1 by 1 in bank zero, as the book shows on now to run 1 stick only. ok??
but no way all PCs beep 5, but is not clear in the post.

one page covers this.

Have you verified that all components are seated properly?
Reseating the RAM (a possible reason for the 5-beep error) might be in order.
When booting, do you get the prompt for entering the BIOS ?
Del, F2, F10, and F12 are the usual ones I have seen.
SOURCE: CPU FAN SPEED IN HP Compaq d530 Small Form Factor Desktop PC
The fan/heat sink on these models get plugged with dust very easily, use an air compressor or can of air to blow the dust out of the heat sink and fan. In extreme cases the thermal paste gets dried out and needs to be re-applied to properly cool the processor.

The RAM maybe faulty, try reseating the RAM, if that doesn't work try one RAM modulel at a time.
Try testing the RAM in another computer or take it to your friendly computer shop.

You've either got a bad motherboard or a bad processor (I'd lean to the motherboard being bad). I would honestly take this into a computer repair shop and have them check both.
