I have a Bose Acoustimass 6 Series III the receiver is Yamaha 3066, this system is a 5.1 surround sound. Then I bought a pair of Bose 901 Series VI Direct/Reflective speaker system with active equaliz

The setup is possible, but with several compromises. First off, to use the active equalizer, you'll need to insert this into one of the 2 channel AV channels limiting your listening with the equalizer to stereo only. The acoustimass subwoofer acts a driver/power regulator for the little cube speakers. It probably will not be able to drive the 901s at the correct level when attached to the Acoustimass unit as front left/right speakers. You could try running a dedicated set of speaker leads to the 901s which may work and still allow surround sound, but you'll lose the equalization capability on the 901s.

How do i hook up bose accustimass speaker to my radio?

Acoustimass speakers need to be driven by a Hi-Fi amp/receiver or AV receiver. So the thing that's driving them needs to be an amplifier.

Unless your radio is also an amplifier then the radio and the Bose speakers are not directly compatible. There's no suitable output on the radio that generates the correct signal in sufficient power.

Can I connect my Bose Acoustimass 5 - Series II to Bravia unit?

Yes, there should be no issues using your Bose speakers with your Sony receiver. Sony has a "hookup guide" to help here -

Bose Acoustimass 15 subwoofer is completely dead.

Clarify, did it ever work for you? Were both receivers used properly configured for the subwoofer? Did you also test the other speaker moduels running off the subwooferto see if they work?

Speaker Receiver setting
• Left and right LARGE
• Center LARGE
• Left and right surround LARGE
• Center surround* LARGE
• LFE/Subwoofer ON
With an Acoustimass 16 Series II system or upgraded Acoustimass 15 Series IlI system only.

I need to connect an equalizer (EQ-70) to a Yamaha RX-461 AV receiver which plays a Bose Acoustimass 6 Home theatre system. The Receiver does not have a tape deck. So ow do I go about it?

If your receiver has a TAPE IN you can connect the EQ to that, and it will work just fine. Or if you have main LINE OUT / LINE IN, you can create your loop there.
