DP50740, it's a 50" sanyo plasma, when I turn it on I get a half white/half normal screen, then within a minute or so it shuts off. I just tried it to take a picture and it had lines on the white sideAny ideas?

the picture is very dark

intermintence in vertical IC deflection its a job for experienced tech need to look for that circuit and do fine job resolding that IC

SOURCE: Half Screen has colored lines, Half screen is working ok

there is a defected capacitor in the vertical circuit trouble shoot and replace. or if the vertical circuit is separate then replace the whole board.good luck

The half picture is a verticale problem. This is difficult to repair. Send to a repair shop.

SOURCE: Plasma "warm up" is now up to 30 minutes and climbing

put a towel across the top of the tv so it can heat up faster and you will get your picture. be carefull!!
