How do o change the language to English on my garmin 5” LMex

Manual is attached. You should be able to change the language setting in the 57 LM under settings/language and keyboard.

1. Press TOOLS (The spanner symbol on the screen that shows WHERE TO and VIEW MAP)
2. Press SETTINGS (The spanner symbol)
3. Press Language (The lips symbol)
4. There are 3 items on this screen VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD
5. If you need to change the voice to english press voice and select an english voice.
   If you need to change the text to english press TEXT LANGUAGE and select english
   

Press TOOLS (Spanner Icon)
Press SETTINGS (Spanner Icon) LOCALE on some models (Blue Icon)
Press Language (Lips Icon)
If you need to change the voice language press VOICE and select an English voice.
If you need to change the text language press TEXT LANGUAGE and select English

Press TOOLS (the spanner symbol)
Press Settings
Press Language (Lips Symbol)
You'll see 3 items. One for Voice Language, one for Text Language and one for keyboard.
If you need to change the voice to english Press Voice Language and select english.
If you need to change the text to english press Text Language and select english

A. If it's the display language you need to change:
To change the text language:

1. Touch the Wrench icon on the screen with the Magnifying Glass, Map and Brief Case icons
2. Touch the Lips and Clock icon
3. Touch the top bar next to the pencil with the letter A
4. Touch the up arrow until you see American English*
5. Touch American English
6. Touch OK

The device should be in the selected text language.
*Note - If American English is not the language needed, please select the desired language.

B.If you need to change the voice language you need to change the voice:

1. Touch the Tool icon
2. Touch Locale
3. Touch Voice
4. Touch the Voice Language you would like to use
5. Touch 'Ok'
6. Touch and hold the Back button to return to the main "Where To" and "View Map" menu
   

At this time your device should speak in the language you have set in step 5.
C. It's possible you won't have an english language voice installed. IF not connect the satnav to your computer. Download the latest version of webupdater from http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-27 and install it on your computer. After it's installed you will get an option to download new voices. Select an english, american or any a voice from any english speaking country. When it's installed go back to para B and repeat to get an english voice selected.

I have just bought a garmin nuvi 1300 and when turned it on the language is german or dutch. We need english but cannot figure out how to change to that seleciton. Help??

my garmin 255 shows chinese language. How i can change to english?

Hit Text (top bar on right) Change to English
Hit Voice (top bar on left) Change to English

use settings language and scroll left or riht until ENGLISH appears in the box
izquierda is left right dirreccio

acceptar is the one to accept
