I have a Samsung TV/Model # UN46EH5000 and I'm wondering why; after a month of switching from Cable TV to adding a Roku; does my TV black out for 5 seconds every 2 minutes?

I have made sure all plugs are securely in. Sometimes it doesn't black out for over 15 minutes, but then every 2 minutes again. I can still barely see what's going on when it black out, and the sound is always there. Please help. Thanks.

It may be the roku it self - test this out by using another device on the tv- if it is roku replace it as its not normal- it truly sounds like your backlight is not operating- if you can see a picture but its just black or very dim then the back lighting would be the issue- this should not have anything to do with cable.
good luck

SOURCE: TV SCREEN GOES BLANK

Yes your inverter is bad, I have the same problem my set is about 1 and 1/4 years old. Because Olevia makes a terrible product there inverters are attached directly on to the panel, which means they will only sell the inverter along with the panel i.e $700+ to replace + $100 dollars labor if u don't know how to fix it ur self. I am currently searching to find the manufacture that makes the inverters because olevia will not disclose that information. I believe it is darfon, if so the inverter should cost about $150-200 depending. If you dont believe you can fix it ur self ur best bet is try and sell the set for scrap take ur $100 or so dollar and buy a quality product! Oh and dont call there support they will tell 10 different things before u find out this long for seen truth!

SOURCE: tv turns off after 15 minutes of use

For bobby11 and luis, it is the power supply. Part Number EAY34797001 in the 42" and EAY34796801 in the 32". This is a known problem, and somebody should start a Class Action against LG over this one. Part is available online and easy to swap out for anyone with the most basic knowledge.

SOURCE: Sharp LC-46SB54U Keeps losing picture intermittantly

i believe your tv is getting overheated, possibly from dust getting onto the electronic components inside. or the inverter board for the lcd panel inside is going bad, alot of times it is the capacitors on the lcd inverter board going bad.

The backlight inverter is dropping out, on the older lgs the backlight inverter is separate from the power supply, if this is the case you can only obtain it with a new panel.

otherwise the newer lgs have the inverter built on the power supply.
in this case you can replace the entire power board.

Replacing main board on Samsung 43" model UN43NU6950FXZA

It sounds like you have already tried replacing the main board on your Samsung 43" model UN43NU6950FXZA TV, but are still experiencing issues with it. Since you mentioned that you have back lighting and can hear sound, but nothing appears on the screen, it could be a problem with the display panel itself or with the cables connecting the display panel to the main board.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check the connections between the main board and the display panel. Make sure they are properly seated and secure.
Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your Roku to the TV. If possible, try connecting a different device to the TV using HDMI to see if the issue is specific to the Roku.
Check for any visible damage or cracks on the display panel.
Try resetting the TV to its factory settings. This can usually be done through the TV's menu settings.
If none of these steps work, it may be necessary to have a professional repair technician take a closer look at the TV to diagnose and fix the issue.

TV says please run channel auto scan. I have a roku device hooked up to the tv as well and I'm not sure if it's the correct thing to do??? Run auto scan??? I dont remember how to do the settings on the tv...

The rescan is if you have cable or an antenna connection. It does not apply to a ROKU. Because broadcasters are adding subchannels regularly, urban over the air folkis should rescan every month or so.

Roku has been working for months tv screen turned black today in middle of program now nothing. Roku is working because power indicator lights up but nothing on screen.

Check the video output cable (HDMI or composite/RCA, etc.) from the Roku to the TV, to make sure it's still connected. Verify that you're watching the input on the TV that the Roku is connected to. If that doesn't work, contact Roku support. I hope your unit didn't just die.
