From the utility pole to your house the power company is responsible for the upkeep. From the breaker box through your entire home your responsible for maintenance and repairs. Call a electrician the breaker box and electricity is dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

If you have no power to a panel (assuming this is a residential service) there is either a failure within the meter base or somewhere ahead of the meter. Best to call the power company and have them confirm the problem is not on their end.

Do i need a main breaker for a 200 amp panal?

This looks like an indoor panel. If you have an outdoor panel next to (or below) the power companies meter, It should have the breaker to feed such a panel. Thus, this indoor panel should only be required to have "main lugs" to receive wire from outside breaker. NEVER size breaker outside bigger than the equipment rating of inside devices. If from the power companies meter you intend to feed this panel, YES it is required to have a Main Breaker.

Can a circuit breaker fail? There is no power in my daughters room, but the circuit breaker seems to be fine. It doesn't reset or fix the problem.

Make sure to click breaker completely over to one side and then click all the way back to reset.

Yes, breakers go bad.

You can check your breaker in a simple way.

Turn main breaker OFF.
Mark daughter's breaker.
Take cover off breaker box.
The main breaker will still have power on the lugs where big wires connect.
Rest of box will have no power.
Notice that each 120 volt breaker has a wire connected to end of breaker.
Use screwdriver and tighten this wire.
If screw is already tight, then loosen screw and pull wire out, and move wire to another breaker marked with same amperage. For example if daughter's breaker is 20, then move wire to another 20. Now there will be two wires connected to that breaker.
Turn power ON and see if daughter's room is restored.
This set up will work fine until you have time to replace breaker with same brand as marked on breaker box, usually available at home center (if available).

If power is not restored by moving wire, then there is a loose wire inside a junction box located in daughter's room.
Test each receptacle in room to confirm that nothing on that circuit has power.
If some receptacles have power, start opening other receptacle boxes looking for loose wire, especially at the quick-connects where wires stab into back of receptacle device.
If whole circuit is off, then to isolate location of loose wire, start at the ceiling box, and see if there is a loose black or white wire. Most electricians run wire from breaker to the ceiling box, and then other wires spread out from there and go box to box until each box has a black and white wire that connects back to original breaker.

Which fuse on the fuse panel is the one for the power windows i lost the manual

I know thta, for a 2002 Ford Explorer, the 30 amp circuit breaker in location #62 of the power distribution box in the engine compartment is the power window circuit breaker. (unfortunately in the 2002 owner's manuals it is labelled accessory delay ) later years are labelled as the power window circuit breaker.

Hope helped with this. Remember rated this help, good luck.

Whirlpoool dishwasher not turning on model du1050

Make sure you have power to the dishwasher, check circuit breaker. If circuit breaker is ok, then remove toe panel at bottom front of machine, on the right hand side is where the power cable goes into a little metal box. Turn off circuit breaker to kill power to the dishwasher, remove electrical box cover and check to make sure that the wire nuts are tight. Reapply power and test. If still no go then remove tech service sheet from toe panel insulation, get yourself a multi-meter and start test individual components until you find the one that is bad. Hope this helps.
