We were making popcorn and and we burned the popcorn so we threw it out . and then suddenly the microwave stopped working for some reason and we don't know why. we have it unplugged now what should we do?
You would have to remove the top cover and check to see if the main fuse is blown. Usually a 20 amp slo-blow. There are thermal cut out devices, they will reset when the unit cools, so plug it in the next day and see if the clock and power is back up. good luck, Dale
Burning popcorn in a over the range MC micro melts the top micro door switch...happened to us, then opening the door blows the ceramic 20a fuse behind the keypad. My model has 4 door switches but only the top one melts on mine if the micro gets excessively hot, mostly just sets off the puck and shuts off the micro for 10-20 minutes
