The Drip tray is where the system rinses to when the unit powers up or down and goes through the rinse cycle - there is a drain valve on the Brew unit drive that empties into the drip tray

SOURCE: How do I empty the Drip Pan

Remove the grill underneath the doors. A flashlight helps, look for a plastic pan, it should just lift out. Some of the older models the pan is bolted down. If you still cant find it, slide the refer out and take the panel off the back, some are easier this way.

SOURCE: Saeco Espresso machine - Empty drip tray (all the time)

aye that is true if you click the coffe making button directly after you have had it out you will be able to make a cup, as the machine has a 2 second response time.

Ok here is what i think:
As it registers the driptray I dont think its the sensor to it.
More i would think that its the CPU card that is not responding to that its clean.

I am sry but I have to ask this:
When it says emptie the driptray are you actually taking out the container that is located under the brewing unit, and not the "drip tray" were you put the coffe mugs?

Also when i think i have a sensor problem I allways take out everything. Brewing unit, dripwater container, dregbox, and the watercontainer. and have it out for atleast 2 minutes ( clean it under the mean time) and put it back again.

As I dont have the machine infront of me i cant be certain:)

SOURCE: water not coming out of dispensing area, goes to drip tray

Try this, if the machine has a pregrind door(usually on the top front) then use the button to tell it you are using pre grind coffee, if water comes out the spout this way then the grind on the grinder is too fine, if it goes out the drain then the coffee passage is blocked, remove the brew unit and check/clear tubes, also clean the spouts on the door of the unit.

SOURCE: I have a Miehl cva4070.

take a long fingernail file that is a fine grit. hold it with a pair of needlenose pliers, and use it to clean the contacts in the back of the machine where the drip tray plugs in. You need to clean each contact top and bottom. you can tape the fingernail file to a ruler or pencil or whatever you need to so that you can reach the contacts. it is very tight as the opening is only an inch or so tall. dont go crazy with the file, just lightly touch each contact. also you can swap the two metal contacts on the drip tray. you will notice that they have little wear lines on them that are in different locations. if you swap them , they will be exposed to new surface. if that doesnt work, you may have an internal leak that is shorting the drip tray contacts from the back of the machine. If there is water back there, it is the same as the drip tray being full.

Hi, what is the parts serial no for contact springs in Miele CVA5065?

Miele are the only people that sell spare parts and the drip tray contacts aren't listed. You should always test contact components for continuity with a digital multimeter before replacing items on guesses.

CVA 4066 built-in Coffee System. Why doesn't it dispense more than a tiny bit of coffee into a cup?

Just so you know, we are Fixya, we aren't Miele.

You need a seal kit, basically a set of o-rings for the brew head. This machine ends up in Fixya far too frequently!

Cannot find my instructions for cleaning my JURA Impressa 65

Do you mean the Jura Impressa C65? If you are prompted to clean the machine, first touch and hold the Maintenance button for ~2 seconds. You will be prompted to empty the tray. Empty both the drip tray and the grounds container. Replace these. Press Rinse and place a container under the spout. Touch the Maintenance button again. Wait while the water flows into the container. When the water stops flowing, the LCD screen will change from "Cleaning" to "Add tablet". Open the cover of the filler funnel for coffee grounds and place the Jura cleaning tablet in the filler funnel. Close the cover. Touch the Maintenance button again. Wait for the Cleaning cycle message to be replaced by the "Empty Tray" message. Empty the drip tray and coffee ground container again and replace them. The coffee maker will be ready to use when you see Espresso Heating. The procedure for descaling is in the manual.

The instructions are available on the product site, https://www.shopjura.com/impressa-c65.html , under the Manuals tab. The current link is https://us.jura.com/-/media/global/pdf/manuals-global/home/IMPRESSA-C60-C65/download_manual_jura_C60-C65_ul.pdf?la=en&hash=A918AF729D1132A17AF6A80C45F95D8CCC692ACE&em_force=true . The section on cleaning the super automatic coffee maker are in chapter 5, which starts on page 30. The section on Cleaning starts on page 37. The section on Descaling starts on page 39.

I hope this helps.

I have a Miele coffe maker and its stuck on empty the drip tray cycle....cannot recognize that the drip tray has been emptied. How can I get out of this mode.?

I just posted this solution in another model.

I have a Miele CVA 4085 built-in coffee maker which had a similar problem to this and other problems where it gets locked into a state where it demands you empty the drip tray even though it is empty. In my case it was at the end of a cleaning cycle and refused to go on. Cutting power and restarting always had it return to the same state: Cleaning, empty drip tray.

I cleaned the contacts on the drip tray and at the back using the nail file, still nothing. Then I found a post on how to get into the programming menu, which on the CVA 4085 is this:
  1. Open the door and switch off the power with the rocker switch on the top left.Wait at least 5 seconds.
  2. Switch the rocker on then VERY QUICKLY close the door and hold the clear button for 5 seconds.
  3. With your other finger touch the ON button then pull both fingers away at the same time.
  4. Do 5 rapid presses of the clear button but hold your finger down on the last press and keep holding it down until the programming menu comes up.
  5. Do not press the reset button that you see at the top of the menu (unless your German is quite good or you have access to Google Translate).
  6. Scroll down until you find the reset cleaning button and select it. Once you have confirmed you can then exit programming mode by powering off.
It took me quite a while to get to this point, but at least I can now recognize the German word for drip tray.

Cva 4070 drip tray issue

Miele CVA 4066 -Empty drip tray warning would not go off even after draining the drip tray, cleaning contacts, and resetting power. Water was coming out from under the empty tray.
I pulled unit out and removed sheet metal in rear around water inlet. when I attached water line and power cord & turned on power, I could see water dripping out of one of the 2 solonoids on the water inlet valve. $168.00 from Miele and no expensive service call.

Miele 5065 descale program will not complete

Miele 4070 watersystem fault but the catch tray has no water so it's not overflowing. What might this be?

it is leaking internally. When the drip tray is full, it tells you to empty the drip tray. when the machine has a problem and develops a leak, it locks up and displays watersystem fault. contact miele at 800 843 7231 and they can put you in contact with a service center in your area.

Hi, my tchibo coffee machine display is showing bean container empty when the container is full of coffee beans.I have removed the container and made sure it is there is nothing obstructing the tube.i have...

Hello

Push "Off" on the coffee maker's control panel. Unplug the coffee maker, and allow the machine to cool down completely. Remove the coffee bean container by lifting up on it and sliding it out. Wipe it out daily with a damp cloth, and slide it back into the coffee maker. Press down on the handle to click the container into place.

Dump out the water in the water container,Wipe out the water container with a damp cloth. Refill the water container with clear drinking water.

Remove the dump box and drip tray, and empty them.Wipe each one down with a damp cloth. Open the service door and push "Press." Remove the brew group by its handle, and rinse if off in a sink with hot water. Use the key provided to unscrew the plastic pin holding the metal filters together. Rinse each one separately. Put the filter back together and dry the separate parts with a towel.

Mix a package of descaler with the water in the water container every four to six months to rid the coffee machine of mineral deposits. Plug in the coffee machine, and select "On." Select the "Hot Water" button, and position the steam valve over the drip tray. Dispense two thirds of the descaler and water into a container in 15 minute intervals by turning the steam valve counterclockwise to dispense and clockwise to shut off the flow.

Let the coffee machine heat up fully, and then dispense the remaining descaler and water by turning the steam valve counterclockwise to empty the water container. Press "Off" to turn the machine off.

If this does not work then you might require a technician.
