SOURCE: new bread maker paddle doesn't fit

Had the same problem. Breadmaker was shipped with incorrect paddle. Manufacturer finally shipped us the correct part, but it took some prodding. Try customer service, but be prepared for inefficiency.

Hi Jean, I hope I can help you find your paddle. Did you lose your paddle or did you buy a machine without one. Or perhaps yours broke?

The paddle for my Breadman BK1060BC has been coming off during kneading. Today, I saw some grey residue in the dough. Is the problem with the paddle, pan or both? Thanks.

I just purchased this 2 days ago and started to use it. I noticed the bread pan would wobble and was noisy during the kneading cycle. On the second use the paddle came off during the kneading cycle. Being a service technician all my life, I started to analyze the problem. I was previously surprised how loose the bread pan fitted into the bread maker and suspected there should be something to support the pan and hold it in place. I could not see anything obvious, but after looking carefully I noticed spring clips on the bottom of the bread pan, and also mating spring clips in the bottom of the bread maker. If I pushed the bread pan down fairly hard into the bread maker the bread pan would snap firmly in place. This stopped the wobbling during the kneading cycle and the paddle coming off. I could not find anywhere in the manual where it explained the bread pan must be pushed firmly down into place until it snaps in. The manufacturer should explain this to their customers on their website.

It won't knead :(

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

When you reach in the bottom of the unit with the bread pan installed is there resistance felt as you move the kneading paddle in either direction? Yes = Motor problem No = belt or kneading paddle problem. (Since this a twin paddle machine they both must move at the same time)

The belt can be found here: PN: 8-BBV-P540

The paddle can be found here: PN: 8-BBV-P290

No matter the recipe I choose, the bread resulting from meticulous attention to ingredients is always very dry duing the kneading process, mealy and dense once cooking is complete. When I first got my...

Hi, If you are doing everything as before and not getting the desired results then it could be that the belts are slipping and not allowing the paddles to fully incorporate all the ingredients. Either that or the paddles themselves are sticking and not moving freely. The belt problem is an easy fix but if the paddles are sticking then it could be the sealed bearings the paddles rotate in is failing and a new bread pan is needed. To check this, take the empty pan and paddles out of the machine and see if you can turn the paddles freely by hand. if no then the sealed bearings are failing. If they turn okay then it could be the belts. Belts and motor are located in the base of the machine. Unplug machine before checking them. Also, make sure the pan is seated correctly in the machine. Rotating shaft will not rotate - during the kneading process nothing happens

Hi,
1) Make sure bread pan is inserted in the machine correctly. 2) Take pan out of the machine and make sure the paddle spins freely on the shaft. ( If not, sealed bearing is frozen and pan needs to be replaced. 3) Keep pan out of machine and start a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window to see if the motor shaft is turning. If not the belt may have come off , snapped or there is something wrong with the motor or curcit board in the machine . Hank
