Generator runs smooth with a little load on it but pops through carb when AC is turned on

hmmm sounds like there's a bit of an issue where the generator is handling the load as it should but it sounds like the engine is having some trouble there as if it's backfiring into the carb a bit might need to get the generator motor serviced

On our 6250 Generator, the breaker pops continually. This happens when running only lights on our RV, or when using it to run a water pump. It will run just fine and then the sound changes and the...

You will have more available power (and use a different larger breaker already on your generator) if you use the 220 plug instead of the 115v plugs. Have an electrician make you an breakout box separating the 220v plug into two 115v outlets. Or your can replace the push button breakers with better quality 25 amp. Problem is that the 115v receptacles are probably 15 amp. Other solution is to try a 220v pump instead of 115v (more efficient draws less amps). Good luck

My supersonic 22 makes a popping noise when switching between channels. Is this a problem in the design or just my unit?

This would be expected. Very high quality audio equipment like mixers for instance will have a soft mute during changes... you just don't find that on any of the guitar amps... The popping is lost in the rest of the "noise". I won't go into the technical explanation other than any slight charge difference at switch contacts or electronic switches will generate a pop when the circuit is closed.

DEWALT DG6300B NO POWER OUTPUT

Hello avid.....

If there is no power to the receptacles:

1. Turn the circuit breaker switches off and disconnect all electrical loads from the generator.

2. Turn the circuit breakers on and test the GFCI's by following the procedures in this manual

on page 1 -

TO TEST A GFCI:

Start the generator. Turn the auto idle switch off. Push in the TEST button (A) on the receptacle.

The RESET button (B) will pop out. Power is now off at the receptacle.

If the RESET button does not pop out, the GFCI is not working. Do not run

generator until the problem can be corrected. To restore power to receptacle,

push the RESET button in. If the RESET button pops out during operation,
stop the generator and check the generator and equipment for defects.

3. Place the voltage selector to the 120 Volt only positions (unless you are using a tool that

requires 240 Volts).

4. Turn the idle control switch off.

5. Turn the circuit breaker(s) off and reconnect the electrical loads. Be sure that the plugs are

securely connected to the receptacles.

6. Turn the circuit breaker(s) on.

7. If there is still no power at the receptacles, take the generator to an authorized DEWALT
service center. To locate a DEWALT service center nearest to you, call 1-800-4-DEWALT

My SM11 model Steamist was installed above our shower/steam room. It is 2 years old. While in use recently, it made a loud sound like a low-pitch popping sound or low boom. Imagine somebody inside a...

The heating elements had burned up in the unit therefor creating a dead short on that circuit. Main breakers on homes and buildings are VERY sensitive and will sometimes trip before the smaller branch cicuit breakers will . So the popping you heard was the heating elements breaking down inside the unit it can be some what noisy.

Akai model PT50DL24X/SMS when you turn on the set it makes a popping sound then there is no sound at all. the only way to get it back is to unplug it and let it reset.

the popping sound is generated in the audio output amplifier IC, change out the ic and any associated electrolytic capacitors this should restore normal operation good luck

Coleman powermate 4000 pops circuit breaker on the 220 side.

Don't know what you mean by "on the 220 side".

The generator has two joined circuit breakers that each are 110 volts. Between the two is 220.

If just one of those is opening WITH NOTHING PLUGGED IN, then there are only a few explanations.

1. There is a short in the wiring or the wiring has been tampered with and connected incorrectely.

2. The switch that switches the mode from 120 to 240 has gone bad, possibly with a welded contact. This would occur if the switch is changed with load on the generator. This could put a driect short on half the generator winding and cause one of the breakers to blow.

3. Worst is a winding short in the generator. Fortunately this is the least likely.

4. The 220 receptacle has been broken and insulation failed shorting one terminal to another.
