SOURCE: Can you tell the age of a shotgun by the serial
Some shotguns don't even have serial numbers, Make and model will tell more than a serial number unless it is a very rare piece. Is it an old Belgian Browning auto 5?? Something like that , you can tell.
SOURCE: browning shotgun sweet sixteen age and value
In general, a 1950s Sweet Sixteen is a valuable gun. Measure the distance from the trigger
to the end of the **** stock to get the "legnth of pull" (LOP). this
was 14 1/14 " when it left the factory. If it is shorter, the value
will be less.
Without seeing it, although many have been altered which would bring a price $350 - $450 area.
This guide might help if you can determine the condition : OS is 1958.
