SOURCE: Cuisinart DCC2000 quits brewing after 1or 2 cups

I have the same problem with the exact same coffee maker I have tried pushing the 1-4 cups button. That worked for a couple weeks, now it is back to only brewing half the water in reservoir whether I push the 1-4 button or not. It is very annoying.

SOURCE: warning of lead in keurig coffeemaker

The solder joint in the tubing. Personally, I don't see a risk but the environmentalists see a risk in any lead at all. The plumbing in my house has ALL lead soldered joints. Now, plumbers are not allowed to use lead type solder. If the water just passes over the lead, there is absolutely minimal chance of problems. Keeping wine in a lead crystal decantor will also leech lead into the drink but, you don't hear all the hype about that. It's all about making the earth green. Toy wagons are being recalled because of lead in the paint. I don't know of ANY kids who ever ATE their wagon.

SOURCE: My keurig coffeemaker turns itself off after

Mine does the same thing. I guess this is a common problem. We are currently on our 3rd unit and they have all done this. I will say that Kuerig does have great customer service. We called them and they replaced the unit no questions asked. They told us after the second unit that it was a glitch and that it had been fixed but our new one has just started doing the same thing. It is very frustrating.

SOURCE: My cuisinart keurig coffeemaker is

Yes it can, but not worth the part cost, hassle and also it a self sealed unit. The cost and time would not off set the better option of just diguarding and buying a new one. If it is leaking, most common and likely it is the main seal of the pump. Suggest this, go to sears or wall mart , buy the pump driven mr coffee espresso/ coffee machine, can get for under. 50 bucks, 20 bucks more for extended 2 year no question, complete replacement warranty. There rated good, and problems are few overall in future. Hope this helps, mike( Mr Bean Man) from fixya.com

Decalcification
Decalcification refers to the removal of calcium
deposits which form over time on the metal
parts of the coffeemaker.
For best performance from your Brew Central
Thermal™ Coffeemaker, decalcify the base unit
from time to time. The frequency depends upon
the hardness of your tap water and how often
you use the coffeemaker. The flashing Clean
light will indicate when you should clean your
coffeemaker.
If the Clean light begins to flash when the
coffeemaker is turned on, it is telling you that
the calcium buildup is interfering with the
functioning of your coffeemaker and the flavor
of your coffee. To clean, fill the water reservoir to
capacity with a mixture of ¹⁄³ white vinegar and
²⁄³ water. Press the Clean button. When the self
clean light glows, turn the coffeemaker on by
pressing the on/off button. The Clean light will
shine steadily. The coffeemaker is now in Clean
mode. One cycle should be sufficient to
adequately clean the coffeemaker. When the
cycle is completed and the five beeps sound,
the coffeemaker will shut off. Turn the
coffeemaker ON to see if the Clean light
continues to flash. If it does, turn it to OFF and
then repeat the cleaning procedure with a fresh
solution of vinegar and water.
If the Clean light no longer flashes, turn the
coffeemaker to OFF and then run one cycle of
fresh cold water through the unit before using
the unit again to brew coffee.
Notes on the Clean F unction
Pressing the Clean button cancels all other
settings. If it is pressed accidentally, press it
again to return the coffeemaker to all its
previous settings. Pressing ON/OFF will also exit
the Clean Mode and turn the coffeemaker OF

Cuisinart DCC2000/how to set it to keep coffee warm for 4 hrs

From my Cuisinart DCC-2000 Series Manual: The AUTO OFF feature is used to shut off the coffeemaker at a preset time, anywhere from 0 to 4 hours.

To program the Variable AUTO OFF:
1. Turn the function knob to "Auto Off". Press and hold the "Hour" button for 2 seconds. The clock display will start blinking.

2. Program the coffeemaker to shut off from zero to four hours after brew cycle is finished by using the "Hour" and "Minute" buttons (see "TO SET THE TIME").

TO SET THE TIME:
1. Turn the function knob to "Clock".
a. SET HOUR: Press and hold the "Hour" button to scroll through numbers quickly. When number displayed approaches the desired setting, press and release (pulse) the button to advance one digit at a time. After setting the correct hour, the default will be the last time set unless power is shut off.
NOTE: When the number count passes 12, the PM light will be displayed on the LCD.

b. SET MINUTES: Press and hold the "Minute" button to scroll through numbers quickly. When number displayed approaches the disired setting, press and release (pulse) the button to advance one digit at a time. After setting the correct minute, the default will be the last time set unless power is shut off. To finish setting time, turn the FUNCTION KNOB to any other setting or simply wait until the numerals stop blinking.

(P.S. The picture of the coffeemaker shown above on this page is not the correct model I have as a DCC-2000. The picture shown has a coffee pot. The DCC2000 has a coffee reservoir and a dispensing lever for dispensing coffee into mug or cup.)

I cannot get the auto start to turn on. The times are properly set. Does the Program green light need to be yurned on to auto start or what?

You have to set the coffemaker to AUTO-ON for it to turn on at a set time in the morning. The PROG function is merely to set the right turn-on time. Once this time is set, you must switch the coffeemake to AUTO-ON.

I can not set the time on the cuisinart dcc-2000

Turn the function knob to CLOCK, then press and hold the HR button for a few seconds and set the hours. Then press and hold the MIN button for a few seconds and set the minutes. Remember, the LCD will show "PM" if it is on PM, but it will not show anything if it is on AM. Once you are done setting the time, don't forget to turn the function back to AUTO-ON, or your coffeemaker will not brew at the set time in the morning.

My Cuisinart coffee maker won't program start time.

Reset the coffeemaker by unplugging it for 20 minutes or longer - don't skimp on the time left unplugged.

Then plug the coffeemaker back in, reset the normal clock. Remember: It will display PM if it is on PM, but nothing if it is on AM.

Then hit the Program button. Hold in the "Hours" button for a few seconds and set the time you want the coffeemaker to go off in the morning. Hold in the "Minutes" button for a few seconds and change the minutes. Then hit the Program button again.

Now turn your coffeemaker to AUTO-ON - it will now go off at the set time.

After brewing coffee does not stay hot.

Unplug the coffeemaker for one full hour.
When you replug it, go to Auto-Off - change the time from "2:00" to "4:00", and then brew another pot. Immediately after the brewing is done, set the coffeemaker back to Auto-Off and see if your problem is resolved.
If not, it may have deeper problems. These coffeemakers have a 3-year warranty - call Cuisinart to see if you are still in-warranty.

Hello i have a cuisinart dcc-2000 i can't seem to find the user guide i need to know how to keep the coffee maker on it usually turns off in about an hour after coffee is brewed. leticia

The user guide is available from www.cuisinart.com

Turn the coffeemaker to Auto-Off - by default, it will say "2:00," but it may have been manually changed to "1:00"

Hold in the hour button until the clock starts flashing, and then advance the hour button until the display says "4:00" (remember: this is on the auto-off setting only).

Now, whenever auto-off is activated, it will stay on for 4 hours.
