Check earth connection and check for static buildup around twist and slide controls by moving them briskly a few times. If humming stops or lessens for a while then gradually builds up again, it needs a service.

Open up the Roland G-70 and check if all the connectors and flatcables are well seated. Check also if the power supply is working as supposed to.

It hasn't been used for several years and now when I go to turn it on it isn't working. Roland doesn't seem to be supporting this product anymore. Worth getting it fixed?

Yes, fix it... FIRST THING is to re-read the manual. I have one of these myself... You didn't tell us what the detailed symptoms are... "Isn't working" doesn't give us ANYTHING to go on. As I recall, there are several things that keep these from "working" that are ALL related to "pilot error"... especially after long term disuse.

Hi, just purchased the JS8 from the States (I'm in Australia), and power connection is, I assume, an American one. Can you please advise which converter I need to purchase so I can operate this unit in...

If you are on 220 there, just get a 220 to 110 TRANSFORMER type step down. You don't need a very big one, then you can use the supplied convertor. DO NOT use one that is intended for hair dryers type appliances.

ROLAND GR30 POWERS UP BUT DOES NOT MAKE A SOUND

Make sure you use the ORIGINAL AC adapter with the unit. It takes a 9VAC one.

The adapter for the GR09 will NOT work and will act the way your unit is acting.

My sustain pedal does not work on my Roland Juno-D keyboard.

Have you tried the pedal straight into the amp without going thru the Roland?

Does the sustain pedal turn on with the foot pedal or is it a separte stomp switch to turn it on?
