We purchased a Konus MAK2 and can hear a loose lense rattling around as soon as we unwrapped it. How do we contact warranty services? I sent one back over a month ago and have gotten no reply. Thank you!

Possibly. I am assuming you mean the back lens fell out of the lens assembly? If there's nothing broken about the mount, then you should be able to drop it back in. If it won't stay in then there's probably either a retaining ring missing, or maybe they just glued it in. It would be a very delicate and careful job to repair, but if you can drop it back in the spot where it goes then using a little dot of glue on the top and bottom might hold it in. Make sure not to use too much so it doesn't get somewhere that it'll affect the images.
Only a Konus dealer will have a Konus manual-- however Meade has a list of all their manuals on this web site--
http://www.meade.com/manuals/index.html Look under the 4.5 inch REFLECTOR heading for one that is similar to your scope. They all assemble and are used in a similar fashion.
During the daytime point the scope at a distant object like the top of a telephone pole. Without moving the scope adjust the small finder scope crosshairs so they point to the same spot.
Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the diagonal. This is your lowest magnification. Practice focusing on a distant object using this low power eyepiece.
looking straight on at the area where assembly goes, First clean and oil area, the jam was likely caused by accumulated dust or a small piece of thread . You should have three pieces, four including the bobbin itself. first piece to be replaced has a center post this piece goes into the machine by fitting it to the bobbin area, it will only go in one way so when it fits into place you will know. the next piece is a ring this piece has a small piece of metal attached to the top when looking at it correctly the two screws will be on top and there should be two indentions. first one is at 3 oclock and the other is at 9 oclock fit this piece into machine and there should be a lever on either side that turns around and rests in to indentions. replace your bobbin in the bobbin case ,be sure to thread the case correctly and load into newly assembled bobbin area making sure that it clicks into pplace
