SOURCE: Plasma Screen Repair

No it is not fixable, wouldn`t it be nice if the manufacturers would include this in the owners manual ? Your wife is not the first to do this by any means, windex and other cleaners are very caustic to these panels and should never be used. the entire "panel" has to be replaced and it`s the most expensive part in your set, I`m sorry to be the bearer of bad news but at least you now know and won`t repeat the mistake, BMW Rider

SOURCE: cant find a teflon repair spray product

there is few products available, do not be afraid of using them, official tv propaganda say that these are dangerous, ptfe and teflon are chemicaly and biologicaly inert and will not create vapours below 380centigrade, your "hottest" cake is baked at about 220centigrade.. pan is used at about 170cenitigrade.

you can find these products usually in appliances repair stores and similiar outlets.

I finished a table with water base Spar urethane.i would like the last coat to be a product more scratch resistant and bond to the water base spar urethane

I don't like water based finishes and have never achieved an acceptable result and a professional car painter told me water based finishes are potentially more dangerous to people than solvent based products due to the natural affinity of the human body to water...

If the spar urethane (whatever that is) is thoroughly dry right through it can be overcoated by almost any finish, though water based finishes do take a long time to become properly dry.

The most scratch resistant finish possible would be a heavy coat of isocyanate activated lacquer which is virtually coating it with epoxy. It is worth noting this is a dangerous spray finish that was primarily used for cars and has been largely replaced by non-isocyanate activated 2-pack lacquer which is less hard but scratches easily polish away.

There is a multitude of lacquers air drying or baked available.

The last time I finished some articles of furniture I achieved a near-scratch resistant finish with half a dozen coats of satin finish polyurethane varnish with the first coat well thinned and the last coat unthinned and 24 hours between coats and initially denibbing with fine wet or dry paper and later coats flatted with soap and water and a rubbing block using 600, 800 and 1000 grade paper.

Have a chip in the paint at the front fender of my Pride Scooter, is there a Paint Repair Kit I can buy, the color is candy apple red, the scooter is brand new

Candy Apple paint is extremely hard to patch repair. It has a base coat of silver or gold and then multi coats of the candy apple over the top.
You can get a paint that is meant to be a touch up for candy apple but you never end up with the same shade of color. Most of the time it will come out dark blood red anywhere that it over laps the old paint.
I would contact Pride as they may use a paint that does not require a base coat.

On pulsar 180 tank and how to remove scratch

It all depends on how deep the scratch is. If it is only a top coat scratch there are kits you can buy with instructions how to buff this out and it into the colour coat touch up paint and refinishing buffers and top coat replacement etc but if not and past or into the base coat or primer coat you will likely need to have it professionally repainted.

My water pan is corroded. What can I use to recoat the pan? Do I sand down to base material then prime then coat?

Sand off all the corrosion to bare metal. Use a metal etch to scrub it down (any phosphoric acid will do), this can be gotten at Home depot or any home center in the paint section (also know as naval jelly). Clean the area with clean water after applying the acid and let dry. The naval jelly will leave a slight coating after the rinsing and this will prevent rusting afterward. Prime the metal with automotive primer, 2 or 3 coats will do. Let each coat dry completely. Use an epoxy paint (I've used single stage polyurethane and 2 part mixable epoxy type). The 2 part mixable epoxy is more expensive but lasts indefinitely and gets very hard). McMaster-Carr Supply has these products and they can be ordered on line. Apply the paint, let it dry according to the manufacturers directions and you shouldn't have any problems.

Top 2" of my concrete wall has eroded. How do I fix it, so it will last, and make sure new concrete bonds to the old?

Hi.

There are different kinds of concrete coating. The choice of product varies, depending if the wall is interior or exterior and on the location of the wall (for example the product used in a bedroom's wall will be different from the coating adopted in a garage).

Epoxy coating are great products that can be used in exterior or interior. Epoxy products however may smell and trigger allergies. Epoxy is one of the strongest coating for exteriors.

If the space is a living room, then it is probably better to use acrylic cement. Acrylic coatings do not smell and do not release volatile compounds. Acrylics look similar to Portland cement and are generally less strong and adherent than epoxy paste.

The application method is usually illustrated in the coating product's container. The procedure consists in cleaning the wall (you can use a power washer), applying the product with a trovel, and then checking the results after 24 hours or when prescribed in the coating's instructions.

After applying the coating you can finish the wall with paint and sealer product.

You're probably already done with your project by now, but you should wait at least 24 hours, lightly sand, and wipe surface with acetone and a microfiber towel before applying a second coat.
