Likely the machine is executing a drain tub as part of its normal start of cycle and has determined there is water remaining in the tub. If you are sure there is no water in the tub when you start a cycle then likely there's a malfunction of the pressure sensor. You will need to locate the pressure sensor for your particular model and make sure the tubing that leads from the sensor into the tub is not obstructed.

SOURCE: error codes

My Kenmore H3 stops working, starts beeping and flashing "F9", but it only happens when I'm washing a heavy load like jeans or bath towels. I think it gets off-balance and I have found that if I hit "pause" once and then hold in "start" briefly it somehow resets itself and works fine from then on till the load is completely done.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet Sport Front loading washer and dryer with error code

An easy Fix. Take off the kick panel, 3 screws 1/4 inch. Make sure you have a shop vac ready or a lot of towels as there will be some water. Always disconnect power to washer and dryer, and turn off water to washer. Your filter most likely is clogged with change, screws, lint, and other household stuff that we leave in our pockets! Unscrew the cap on the filter, easy to find, since you have the kick panel off! Take everything out of the filter. Take your shop vac and **** out remaining stuff in hose. Also, **** up any water that has leaked in and around the washer. Screw the cap back on hand tight, put the kick panel back on, turn your water back on, plug it in and there you go! Maybe takes an hour and saves you a repair bill. If you are not comfortable with this procedure then call a maintenance person that is qualified. 775f844.jpg

SOURCE: F2 error code on my Kenmore Elite HE3 washer

Had this problem on our Kenmore machine.

This is what done.

1. Unplug the washer

2. Take of the toe panel in the front by removing the three screws.

3. Get a bunch of towels (I mean a bunch!!!)

4. The pump is in the center, and it has a plastic grip handle that one can unscrew to remove the filter. As you unscrew it, LOTS of water will come out. Be ready with the towels. A cookie sheet helps to collect the water too.

5. Clean the filter assembly.

6. If one wishes to check the inlet of the pump, remove the back panel, about 12 screws. (Note, the following works for replace the pump as well)

7. Remove the large bellow from the bottom of the tub that goets to inlet of the pump by removing the clamp

9. Lift up on the plastic cover that covers the wires that power the pump. There may be a small plastic catch that is lifted up as to allow the connector to become free.

8. Remove the Torx screw that holds that is the center just under the filter screen.

9. Pull the pump forward.

10. Unclamp the pump outlet hose.

11. Remove pump

12. Unclamp the large bellow on the pumps inlet and inspect for debris.

13. Clean pump and fitler w/o getting water on the pump.

14. Install in reverse order. Remember, it is much easire to put the inlet bellow and outlet hose on the pump before you put into the washer

Is it a washer-dryer? E10 relates to a fault with the inlet valve.....usually the valve itself going open circuit.

Error code e21 on frigidaire affinity washer cleaned pumped and ran a rinse cycle it did fine put clothes in to wash it ran for 10 min. then stopped.

Hello Deena,
Error Code e21
means the water is not pumping out fast enough. The most likely reason is because the washer drain filter is clogged.
Here is a solution:
  1. Pull the machine out from the wall.
  2. Then take the panel out in the rear. Once the panel is off you will see the drain pump.
  3. Disconnect the drain Tube between the Tub and the Pump.
  4. Look inside the pipe you will find the Drain Filter.
  5. Clean the filter out ( you will be surprised of "things" found in the filter) then put the machine back together
  6. Try a full cycle.
That should end your problem.
Best of Luck!

Front load washer e21

Good Morning Friend,

I see that you are receiving an E21 on your Frigidaire washer, model# ATF6000ES. The E21 error code states that water is not pumping out fast enough. Here are a couple of suggestions that you can try.

1)Check the drain hose for any kinks or clogs. Also, make sure that the drain hose is only 6-8 inches down in the drain pipe. If the drain hose gets backed up with water this error can occur.

2)Make sure that the actual drain pipe, where the drain hose goes into, is only a maximum height of 8 feet. If it is longer than 8 feet, you will need to cut some of the pipe off.

3)Make sure that your homes drain pipes are not clogged. If they are, you will need to unclog them. Call a plumber if necessary.

After checking the above suggestions, reset your washer by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. When you restore power, start any cycle on your washer. If you are still receiving an E21 error code, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your washer and determine why you are receiving an E21 on your appliance. Hope this is helpful.

    -Best regards-

I've got an LE code on the front of my washer

This error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.
Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.
Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.

Are there soap suds visible in the drum?
Over-sudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE (high efficiency) detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. In addition, detergent residue can also cause leaking and odor. Follow these steps to resolved an LE error code caused by over-sudsing.

Step 1: Unplug the washer and allow the unit to sit for 30 minutes to give the suds time to dissolve.
Step 2: Plug the washer back in and press [Power] to turn on the washer.
Step 3: Do not choose a washing cycle. Press the [Spin Speed] key until "No Spin" is selected.
Step 4: Press [Start/Pause] to begin a drain only cycle.
Step 5: After the drain only cycle has completed, remove the clothing items from the machine. Turn the power back on and select [Rinse and Spin] and then press [Start/Pause]. This will remove excess soap suds and light residue from the drum. Repeat this step until no visible suds are in the drum of the washer.

Hope this helps.

Have a erro code E21 What is it

The E21 error code means the water in the washer is not pumping out fast enough. The solution is to check the washer installation. Make sure the drain hose is not kinked. Make sure the drain pump has 120 volts in the drain cycle. If it reads zero the control board will need to be replaced. If not, then it's the pump.

Washer giving F2 error during wash cycle, cycle doesnt finish

HI. this code represents a Long Drain issue.

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

E21 is flashing on the screen what does this mean?

E21 indicates that water is not draining from the machine fast enough. This can be caused by a kink in the drain hose, a problem with the pump or a problem with the pressure sensor.

On my washer, there's a copy of the service manual inside the machine - remove two screws in the back and take off the top. The manual includes the error codes and the steps to take.

Washer will not leave the drain cycle

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display then
  • Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
  • Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
  • Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
  • If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.

It's because of a Long Drain condition. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off the code is flashed.
But Note: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error is usually displayed, then 4 minutes later the error code is displayed.

Affinity E21 error

E21 means "Not pumping out fast enough". Could be debris caught in the pump inlet sump or pump body.
a75737b.jpg Disconnect the inlet sump from the pump. Disconnect the outlet hose from the pump. Remove the (2) screws, one on each side, holding the pump housing to the washer base. Unplug the wires from the pump motor and lift the pump assembly out.
