1st You download Webcam Driver.
How to instal orginal windows seven setup lenovo g470
After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.

Hard drive errors

If your had drive is getting lost clusters when you run scan disk, it means the hard disk is nearly worn out Whilst scan disk will repair and locl out these bad sectors so data is not written to these areas, the number of bad sectors will increase and it is adiseable to back up your data frequently so you won't lose your data when the hard drive fails completely.
I recommend you replace this hard drive as soon as possible and install Windows on the new hard drive plus the computer's device drivers, your programs and data. You do not want the hard drive failing at an inconvient time.

Lenove ku-0989 fn key

Numerous folks indicate that Windows doesn't register the Fn key as a keypress but using a tool that gives the ASCII value of a keypress I see the Fn key returning FF (perhaps FF in this case means 'not registered'). I also see that keys like Ctrl register with one ASCII code when pressed alone and another when pressed in combo with another key. Fn will only register when pressed alone, so Windows definitely isn't seeing the combo. This took a solution like AutoHotKey off the table.
I ran KeyTweak (which shows you the hardware scan codes of a keypress and the Fn key registerd as 57443). Using this program I remapped Fn to the Ctrl key; this worked perfectly. However, I suspect that because of the issue in #1, the combo of, for example, Fn + C did not execute a copy.

My t61 just wouldn't turn on, so we replaced the hard drive, didn't have the operating system so ran linux on it. Now I cannot turn it on again. whats up you think? Its 2 years old.

T61 usually has a 3 year global warranty, if you had the hard disk replace from the Lenovo service center itself they are supposed to be giving the operating system along with the Hard disk.

1. do you get any display on the screen thinkpad logo?
if yes your Hard disk and other hardware devices are functioning properly.all you need to do is reload the linux again.
if you are not getting any display, you have a memory (RAM) or a hard disk problem. which needs a replacement

What does error 0611-204 mean? I just ran a pc doctor video hardware scan and it showed this.

This code is a "invalid source" error. Sorry but that is all I can tell you about it. You can google that error code & it will tell you more.

Dell Dimension 9100 Blue Screen 0X00000024,00190293,86FA5B30,C000102,00000000. I tried to reinstall XP from CD and it says unable to locate Hard drive. Replaced Hard drive and tried again, same message....

Hope this help you...This is in relation to what your error code means, you'll need to check against the list.

Error 0x00000024 - This problem may occur if there is a conflict between Windows XP SP1 and the display adapter drivers that are currently installed.
Error 0x00000004 - occurs because your computer processor detected and reported an unrecoverable hardware error to Windows
Error 0x0000007b - occurs if your computer is infected with a boot-sector virus.
Error 0x80004005 - occurs because the account that is being used to access the page does not have access to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC registry key.
Error 0xc0000005 - occurs because of memory corruption.
Error 0xc0000034 - caused by a missing system file (usually Ntdll.dll in the %systemRoot%\system32 directory.
Error 0xc0000006 - occur if there is not enough free hard disk space on the NTFS-compressed hard disk partition when the SIS filter tries to read compressed back pointer data streams from the SIS volume.

Another common reason can be malware and spyware that penetrate to your computer registry and started destroying it... that's why it's so important you fix your registry right now!

I didn't, just took down all the codes the machine produced for the vaious scans.

SOURCE: could be a serious problem.

next time you get it running, right click on my computer>explore, click on 'C' drive, right click>properties>tools tab, then click error checking, if the option to choose repair found faults, choose it, then the system will run a drive check.

It may take a few hours as it sounds as though you have a bad sector on your drive, back up all docs immediately after the system as run a check and hopefully is up and running again

password is not working. i need to open it without formatting, because i have lot of important files inside it.
last two years i work with it smoothly, suddenly when i write down my password it shows invalid password.
