I have a Movado Series 800 Subsea. It stops running when it's not worn. If I shake it, it starts up agin. I know it's a quartz hence a battery. Is it kenetic? The manual does not say.

It is not kinetic, the watch should run whether it is worn or not. A kinetic watch requires motion in order to wind a mechanical movement. A quartz movement requires a battery and that is all. You might want to change the battery.

How to you change the battery in a danbury book clock

The clock is just tension fit in the housing. Easiest way to get it out is to get a plastic suction cup. Press the suction cup onto the face of the clock and pull and jiggle till the clock comes free. This way you wont gouge up the wood trying to pry the clock out with a screwdriver. It takes an N cell battery: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N_battery

Changed battery, now buttons on sides do not work, where to get it repaired?

mcdevito75 here, Most likely during the battery change you moved the quartz movement away from the contact buttons. Re-Open your watch carefully and make sure when you press the buttons, each button is pressing against it"s spot on the quartz movement.

Hi, I found on a street market a MIYOTA T241 watch in original package, also a plastic shield on the glass. Now the problem: May be the liquid of the battery destroyed any power supply wires or contacts. I...

mcdevito75 here, Once the battery leaks it destroys the quartz mechanism. Even if you find a replacement quartz, you"d need special Jewelers tools to remove and replace the quartz, even with that you could destroy the new quartz if you can find one. Best Bet, see a small watch repair shop in your area for a quartz replacement approx. $75.00

I just replaced the battery on a fossil watch and it won't work. How to you reset it? or what else needs to be done? Please help me. thanks.

mcdevito75 here, Your Fossil watch should work with the battery change, of course it will need to be re-set. You"ll have to double check the battery install, make sure the battery contacts are clean, use a piece of paper towel and carefully clean the battery contacts. Hopefully your new battery is not dead. Another thing to check for, is that the buttons contacts are lined up with the quartz movement. While you double check your battery install, carefully press 1 button at a time, and make sure each button is making contact with the quartz mechanism, many times during a battery change to quartz movement may move just slightly but enough to keep the buttons from contacting the movement, this will keep the watch from working. Hopefully 1 or all of these is the answer for your Fossil watch.

New battery want work? I tried two new ones and nothing worked? Need help.

mcdevito75 here, You may need to start your watch by pressing the MODE button. Most quartz watches will stop once you"ve changed the battery, of course the possibility is there that the watch quartz has burnt out also. See a small watch repair shop in your area.
