SOURCE: Carrier gas pack inducer motor

Sounds like you may have a bad connecton at the end, which end? if you follow the wires out of the motor they sometimes go to a MOLEX whitish plug. The wires treminate in this plug with PINS sometimes these PINS dont seat or come loose in the plug. Pull the plug apart and check the wires comming in from both directions. If they wont push or pull out of the plug either way they are seated ok. Check for a bent PIN while have it apart. If its worse and this dosnt fix it or its the end going to the motor consult www.carrier.com for a dealer near you. DO NOT USE A GENERIC MOTOR on your furncae as I believe it is a 2 speed and most generic motors ar only 1 speed. SOme of these gaspack motors have a centrifical switch and if this is your problem again consult with a carrier dealer. The price of the motor is secondary to safety and longvity of your comfort investment. If I knew where you lived I could make a better recomendation.
A viberation could mean a HORNET nest (using mud for their nest) could have been in place and reciently came loose and fell into the fan on the motor. carefully remove the assembly and inspect it for bent fan or shaft or maybe plastic and broken or metal rusted out parts.
If you need more information I need to know a few more things. If this helps you r not please grade accordingly and help me improve. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK.

SOURCE: My Kenmore electric dryer runs but no heat ....

Hi, You will need to remove the front lower panel and this will get you to the element and thermostats.
With the dryer running. check voltage to the element and you should get 240V. If there is voltage, you will need to change the element.
If there is no voltage to the element, UNPLUG the dryer and check the thermostats and fuse for continuity. These parts are located on the element housing and the blower housing under the drum.
If any of the thermostats or the fuse are open, they will need replaced.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks

SOURCE: need to repair model 20605 washer, motor does not

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Sorry to hear about your trouble shooting problems. I hope I can help move you forward in the right direction.

Have you run a self-diagnostic which is built into the Asko washer's control ? Furthermore, Did you initially receive an error code of "F6" ?

What led to the changing of the brushes in the motor, and was the motor windings ohm value checked to confirm or dismiss the motor was worth brushes ? The armature inspected ?

This how to run a fault tracing program ( in the event you don't know )

What you will/should see...

macmarkus_235.jpg
Let me know what you've done or found to this point and I'll try to help in whatever manner I can. It is possible the motor control board is the fault, but there is a means to get to that point first.

There was also a period of time during production some of the controls had the wrong fuse placed in them...se below for memo.

macmarkus_236.jpg

This is not very likely considering the age of your machine, however I felt it was worth mentioning. I'll watch for your next post.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

I have no power at the control board, no code is showing. Has 120V at the unit.

see this and replace if necessary. God bless you
Main Control Module / CCU
The main control unit is the circuit board located behind the console. If the door switch tests good the main control is usually the problem. Check all connections for a goood tight fit. You will need to refer to the tech sheet or service manual to check this further. The main control is easy to replace.

Motor Control Module

The motor Control Module is located inside the cabinet down near the motor. This recieves the signals from the main control module then relays this information to the motor. Check all connections sometimes a communcation problem is just a loose connection. The Motor Control Module is easy to replace. To check this further you will need to refer to your tech sheet or service manual.

Front loader maytag stop in middle cycle give error F25

Remove your service panel and look for your tech sheet inside a jacket in the inside of the service panel. An F-25 is usually a broken wire between the main control and the motor control.

Code f-25 washer will not stop working and display this. what do i do?

F25 is a Drive Motor Tachometer error. This means that your motor control board isn't detecting your motor moving correctly. If you open the door and spin the tub by hand and it's smooth, you need to order and replace the motor control board to correct th issue unfortunately.

Door locked

Are you still having the issue? Try the Service Manual check for the FAV6800AW/FAV9800AW. I have pasted in from the SM. This could be an issue with the Motor Controller. With out known good replacement parts (Motor Controller & Control Board) this could be difficult issue to troubleshoot.

You can try going into Service Mode and turn on/off the water inlet valves to further isolate the issue and confirm the water inlet valves operate and fill the machine in Service Mode. In Service Mode you can also turn on the drain pump to pump out the wash tub.

Here are some links for the SM and parts look up.

The Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference.

Will Not Unlock
• Press off. The motor control is not responding if it
takes 4 m inutes to unlock. The motor control is
either bad or disconnected.
• Unplug and reconnect power cord. Wait 20 seconds
for machine to unlock.
• Check lid locked switch circuit. Circuit should be
closed at machine control. (See board input/output
chart)
• Check for loose electrical connections at lid lock and
at machine control board.
• Push lid closed to make sure nothing from inside is
pressing against it which may keep it from unlocking.
• Perform Motor and Motor Control Test. (see Motor
and Motor Control Test section).
• If necessary, remove clothes by disconnecting power
to washer, and open top cover with a putty knife.

The SM will show you how to raise the washer top from the base.

The A/c does not work in the rear.I have a 1996 nissan quest

you have a bad solder joint in your heater control head. If you can solder, you can fix it. I will fix it for $25 and send you a control head. Then you send yours back to me.

Here's our Villager/Quest web site.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/villagerquest/links

You have to remove 4 plastic screws on console bottom. Then remove 2 screws at bottom of center trim panel. Then remove ash tray and 2 screws just above tray opening. Then 2 screws at top of center trim panel. Then pull off center trim panel. It has 2 spring clips in center.
Then remove 4 screws holding control head in.
Remove all electrical connectors.
remove thin plastic cover on bottom of unit. 2 plastic clips hold it on.
remove circuit board, and look on back side for crack around solder joint that is circled in red on picture. Or the joint next to it.
resolder the cracked joint. Don't heat the joint too much. Just enough to get solder to drop on to it.

What is Lr error code

I’ll post this in reference to Troubleshooting an Lr error code associated to the FAV6800AW/FAV9800AW.

Lr = Locked Rotor error “”Locked Rotor: The machine has repeatedly tried to turn the motor””. This could be caused by faulty Motor Controller, Motor, Control Board or issues in communication of the Control Board to the Motor Controller/Motor via the wiring harness. Here are a couple of links to support troubleshooting efforts; Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for parts reference.

I’m an owner like you and I worked vai e-mail a while back with an owner that was experiencing a constant “Lr” error code on their FAV6800AW. That person ended up replacing the Motor Controller after replacing the motor that did not fix the issue. You could try the Motor Control Board Output Test on page 15 and others checks on page 16 of the SM.
Unfortunately the SM gives very little support in troubleshooting this issue. If you decide to troubleshoot first pull the plug on the 120VAC to the machine. You could try reseating the plug on the motor and the plugs going into the Motor Controller. This could be a hard one to troubleshoot without a known good Motor Controller, Motor and Control Board to substitute. If you are a DIY’er and have an DVM you could try the troubleshooting steps on page 15&16 of the SM.
If it were my issue and the SM troubleshooting steps did not help fault isolate the failed component I would pick up a Motor Controller from ebay (90 day warranty type) and try that first with my fingers crossed, not the way I like to troubleshoot. The Motor and Control Board are under warranty by Maytag for 5 years from DOP. I believe the Motor Control Board is under warranty for only 2 years. Maytag Customer Service contact info is at the back of the SM. Good Luck.

Maytag Neptune Top Load FAV6800AWW -- tub/motor will not spin

Hey Cameron,
I saw you post today on another forum and did not have time to put my thoughts down before work. I agree not a clutch issue I had to :), you would be so lucky. I own the machine and can’t offer any more troubleshooting then what you have done, good job of that. Unfortunately the FAV6800AW/FAV9800AW SM doesn’t have a whole lot of support for troubleshooting beyond what you have done for this issue. I found more info from the MAH3000 manual on the technical operation of the motor controller (slightly different controller). Both machines use the same troubleshooting paths. Remove JP4 which is;
P1 Motor Control common
P2 Torque (to Motor Controller) see page 1-11 MAH3000
P3 Motor Control Tach (to control board input)
My WAG is replace the Motor Controller 1st, then Control board 2nd and a possible tach issue related to the motor. That’s enough WAGing,…. but with troubleshooting not a complete WAG :).
Take a look at pages 2-5 thru 2-11, I keyed in on page 2-11 in the MAH3000, it may give you some additional insight, I know we are dealing with different machine designs but I think the designs are close regarding motor controller, the motor and what the Control Board is doing and looking for with input from the Motor Controller. I wish the FAV6800AW/FAV9800AW SM gave this kind of detail for troubleshooting. There is a nice little troubleshooting table on 2-11.
I keyed in on this note;

The motor control monitors the signals and communicates this information to the machine control (control board). The purpose of this signal is to tell the motor when to energize each winding in the motor and to tell the machine control the actual motor speed.

Then this note;
Note: If the machine control board does not receive an input signal from the motor control/tachometer circuit (JP4 connector), the motor speed will rapidly accelerate for 5 seconds then shut down. The machine control will sense a "locked rotor" condition and the motor will stop. If the motor control does not receive an input signal from the motor, the motor will "****" for 5 seconds then shut down.

I don’t believe you have that condition. I have worked with a forum member who had an issue with the motor controller related to an Lr error, locked rotor error and replacing the Motor Controller fixed the issue. Form here I vote for an issue with the Motor Controller. Not having known good parts makes this a difficult job.
The control board is under warranty for 5 yrs from DOP, the Control Board is 2 yrs. Ebay is a good source 25001079

I would push Maytag CSV for both. I got them to send me a Control Board after discussing my troubleshooting and that I had a neighbor (me) that was a repair tech who would install. I also had to send them copy of my warranty not sure why they beeded that my machine was on file with them.
In your console you will find a Troubleshooting guide if you haven’t pulled it out already. It has the schematic for the machine which I find handy. If you want a soft PDF copy of the schematic I can e-mail you. Just ping me at [email protected]. I use that for one-way contact, just respond back on this post if you ping me, I don’t check the account for month’s at a time.
With my limited knowledge I will try to help you. Good luck. Rich
