SOURCE: how to adjust chain and bar oiler flow

The chain should be adjusted so that the chain can be pulled by hand fairly easily, but doesn't droop from the bar underneath. Oil flow should be set so that a running engine (chain moving fairly fast) will send a thin line of oil off of the tip of the bar (onto a piece of cardboard) with a few moments of running. Hope this helps!

Ozito electric chainsaw oiler won't work

Personally, I would leave the oiler adjustment to a qualified repair shop. If you turn it back to much, it will get even less oil and will starve the chain/bar!!

My saw a jonsered 670 champ keeps putting oil out the oiler tube even when the saw is shut off , until the tank is empty any ideas or fixes?

Try loosening the oil filler cap when you are finished using the saw, this should stop the siphoning of the oil. Tighten the cap again. Stephen.

Jonsered cs 2250 fixed flow oiler can the oiling rate be increased i think its not getting enough as the chain is running almost dry

Remove the housing that covers that bar and sprocket. There are two plates on each side of the bar that set over the studs. They may be identical or slightly different depending on the saw but at least one of them will have a hole in it for the oiler. If you remove the bar and both plates you will see the oiler hole on the saw housing. This oiler injects oil through the plate and into a small hole in the bar where the chain picks it up and carries it around the saw. If this hole becomes plugged with sawdust it will keep your saw from oiling the bar proplerly. This hole should be cleaned out periodically. It's not a bad idea to remove the whole chain periodically and clean the chain guide all the way around the bar and get any sawdust buildup out so the oil can flow better.

How to adjust chain bar oiler

The Stihl 026 PRO does have an adjustable oiler and it is located on the bottom of the saw just below the clutch drum.
Stihl also builds an 026 "Standard" without the adjustable oiler, however, the hole location for adjustment is still there.

The 026 PRO will also have a decompression valve on top of the saw to make the rope easier to pull during startup. If you have the DECO valve you should also have the adjustable oiler. Hope this helps.

Chainsaw chain oiler not working

There is probably a filter on the bottom of a hose within the oil tank. Go through the tank fill cap with a blunted rod. Move it slowly you should find the hose. Draw it gently toward the opening. You can probably find a new filter at a Husqvarna (parent company) dealer if you don't have a Jonsered dealer handy. Oil pump replacement is complicated. Any good chainsaw mechanic can replace it regardless of what saw they sell. Arboristsite dot com is a buch of chainsaw nuts (Eye r 1). They will give you better guidance. Please do a searh in the chainsaw forum before asking "how do I fix my saw", the answer has almost certainly been asked. Spike60 is a Jonsered dealer and is always helpful. HTH Lou
