MacBook Notebook will not connect to network via Zyxel Prestige router. Asks for WEP password and then says unable to join the AirPort network. If I change the Mac Filter in the router the other computers on the network lose their connection but the Mac still will not connect.

Can't connect my Ipod touch to my router?

You must be sure to what router you are trying to connect. I understand you have a ZyXel and a linksys. You must have 2 wireless networks. Your wireless network must be secured, so you just have to use the correct password. I need more details. Try this http://technicalsupport.blog.friendster.com

Can't connect my Ipod touch to my router?

did you setup a wireless network ? if you didnt go to control panal and then wireless network setup icon and follow instructions (select automatically provide network key option) then follow instructions and finish. once you did that, search through wifi on youf phone it should find your WNetwork and then connect and enjoy. if you want to use internet and have an ADSL modem, make sure that the modem is connected to the internet RJ45 plug on your router. and from router to PC.

good luck, i hope this helps

Can't connect my router to my Ipod touch?

ok do this if it is already showing your router up on your portable device but it has that security lock and you are unable to join or need a password which u dont know lol go to that network and on the top push forget this network. than go back and click on for other location. than for the name put in your router name usually 5 characters long make sure u use capitalization cuz its case sensitive. than select what kind of key u have it should say right on the side of your wireless router. than type the key in usually a wep key and u should be set to join it if it doesnt auto matically do soo

My solution was that I changed the wireless mode from "B,G and N" to just "B and G," and then it worked fine.

Problem connecting to Router with Mac Airport

The $ sign or a hash character before the network key only works with WEP 64 bits on Mac, if you enabled WPA(is it TKIP or AES?) make sure that your Mac computer supports that kind of authentication if not try to lower down the security level on the router by using WEP instead of WPA.

Macbook pro network connection

Verizon, the ones who sent me the router, helped me fix the problem. The router/modem software has to be updated because the old software can't work with the new version of leopard. The technical support guy did all of the updating via a screen share, so your best bet is to call the company who sent you the router and get their help.

Modem router

I can tell that your network topology is not the most complicated ever.So u ve got 3 terminals,1 desktop pc and 2 laptop.Simple, reset your zyxel(from the button on the back) and reconfigure the Local area interface connection(ip & subnet mask for the zyxel),reconfigure your internet connection,(WAN zyxel interface) in case the zyxel is your Internet gateway too.Third, make sure NAT & Firewall are up and running(usually are by default) Finally, reconfigure the WiFi interface with the correct SSID name & WEP key or whatever security you prefer.Write down the security pass for your wireless and you are done.Good Luck.
