IN THE PAST I HAVE TAKEN THE UNIT OUT AND TURNED IT UPSIDE DOWN, AND LEFT IT SIT FOR ABOUT 1 MONTH. THEN REINSTALL THE FRIDGE, AND IT WORKS AGAIN.. .. REASON YOU MAY ASK ? THERE IS A LITTLE BULB THAT THE FLAME KISSES, AND IT SEEMS IT GETS TRASH INSIDE THE BULB, AND SLOWS THE HEAT TRANSFER .. YA I KNOW IT SOUNDS CRAZY, THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT ALSO.. OH AND TO OPERATE THE UNIT NEEDS TO BE LEVEL (CHECK THIS FIRST !!) ..LAST ONE I DID WAS ABOUT 25 YEARS AGO..

does fridge work on 12 volt? If yes, 1 check and make sure you have 'good' gas. Next you can check the orvice/ignition area for any forgien matter, cobb web/spider webs must be removed. You can blow out that area with nan air hose. wear safety glasses!!! follow instruction for lighting. If you still do not have any flame you mave have a bad pilot valve.
SOURCE: tighten loose belt
replace belt tensioner, also while you are in there, change the belt. if you need help, ask your local parts store when you pick up parts and they will print out a diagram for you for free. that is if there is none under the hood on a sticker showing you belt diagram. good luck
