Every so often my unit stops. Usually just turning it off and back on takes care of the problem, but not this time. On the large green box only the power switch is on, none of the zone buttons.

SOURCE: My mitsubishi ws65807 remote stopped

Hi,

the first three flashes when the set is plugged in indicate whether or not the microprocessor has initialized. The sections involved are the microprocessor, the standby power supply, and the buttons, LED, etc.

The most common causes I have found are the standby power supply, the front panel assembly, and CRT fluid leakage. Are you comfortable working inside the set? This may or may not involve measuring live voltages with a multimeter
.

If yes, the first step a technician would take is to remove the speaker grill(s) and then the front cover at the bottom. A quick check of the front panel is to simply follow the wires from the bottom of the screen assembly until you reach in-line connectors. Disconnect these (squeeze clip on the side of connectors) and then plug in the set and try the remote pointed at the screen. If the set powers up, then the front panel assembly is bad.

Also, inside the front, view the PC boards for CRT fluid leakage. The fluid is (originally) clear and is slightly thicker than water. Any fluid whatsoever, even a drop, can cause damage to the PC board. The fluid will cause any dust in the set to discolor; this may make it easier to spot (please look very carefully).

The next step is to check the standby power supply accessed through the rear of the set. The main fuse is suspect (F9D00), although not likely if you are hearing a sound when the set is plugged in. Two other fuses to check are pico-fuses in the standby power supply (F9A01 and F9A06). These are located on the center (Power) PC board, near the center of the board, toward the rear. If either of these are bad, then there is likely another failure that caused it. Of course, if any fuse is changed, please use the same value only (I have the manual to look up the values if needed).

If all these are good, then the next step is voltage measurement of the standby power supply. I will pause here and wait to hear your results.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

What to do when you only have Green on a CRT Projection TV.

If you have a picture, but only in green on a 3 crt projection TV, I would try turning up the drive for the red and blue guns. They have probably changed over time and red and blue have lost drive and need a boost. Green makes up 70 percent of the picture compared to red and blue so the drive would not have to drop much to lose red and green but still have green. Keep in mind that this does mean that the CRTs are dying and may not have too much time left.

To turn up the drives first remove the back cover on the bottom half of the machine. Be very careful as you will have to work on this unit live. Do not touch anything other than what I tell you and keep one hand in your pocket whenever possible.

First look at the space above the main circuit board. Somewhere across the beam supporting the CRTs you will see a square box with 6 controls (shafts). You can locate the box if you follow the wires from the flyback to the box. The flyback is located on the power board and produces the high voltage. It will have 4 large red rubber wires coming out of it. Three go to the focus divider block (the box in question) then they go on to the crts (red, green, blue).

Once you locate the focus divider look at it closely. The focus controls are on top and the drives are on the bottom. They should be marked red, green and blue. You want to turn up the red and blue. Tune a picture with as much black as possible. While watching it turn up the red until you see a red tint or streak then turn down until it just disappears. Do the same with the blue. You may want to touch up the green also for good color balance.

If the set is working OK and the CRTs have enough drive left, your picture should look normal.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Mitsubishi ws48515 when plugged in hear a click and the green light starts blinking and set does nothing

This is a common problem with this unit.
1. Un plug the unit.
2. Take the back off of the unit
3. On the far left side you will see metal box standing up. Inside the box is your DM board. Remove the box from the unit.
4. Remove the DM board from the box.
5. Inspect these Capacitors to see if they are bulging or defective.

C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4. The Value of these capacitors are 1000MF/16V

6. If any of these capacitors are defective, replace them all with capacitors at this rating. 680MF/16V
7. Make sure that when you replace the capacitors that you have the correct polarity. The - side of the capacitor goes toward the markings on the board.
8. Reinstall all parts of unit.
9. Plug in unit
10. Wait the 90 seconds or so that it takes for the DM to boot up ( Green Flashing Light )
11. Once Unit stops flashing you should be able to turn it on and enjoy.

Good luck to you.

Ws-55511 green light changed caps. where is pico fuse located ?

There are at least two pico fuses in the DM unit along with the caps; DM is large metal box on left as you look from behind.

Blinking green light that does not stop means problem is in DM unit that is not booting up.

If you have questions let me know.

Error 32 error code. shutting off and back on does not work

This is a density sensor error.

Check if there is a scratch, dirt or the like on the belt unit.
If so, replace the belt unit.

Check the connection between the density sensor holder, and the registration relay PCB, and between the relay PCB and the engine PCB.

It may also be a faulty High Voltage power supply fault.

Good luck!

My air cond. wont kick on neither will the fan. could it be my thermostat? do you need to charge house air cond? could it be out of freeon

If the a/c is not turning on it is a power problem The thermostat turns the system on and if it is bad it won't let the system come on. The way to see if it is the thermostat is by this. 1st take the thermostat off the wall. Make sure you take care in the removal of the thermostat Use a pen and paper to mark where you removed your wires. There should be 6 wires on the system however the wires that you need to worry about are red, green, yellow, white. If you turn off all power to your a/c system at the breaker box. This should be a dual 60 amp breaker, once the power has been disconnected twist together the red, green and yellow wires. Go backto your breaker box and turn the a/c system back on. If your furnace and outside unit come on the problem is with the thermostat at this time replace it. If the system doesn't come on then there is an electrical problem which could be quite a few things that would call for a tech to come check out your unit. Good luck on your repairs
