SOURCE: Google Chrome removal

right click on any internet shortcut icon -> select properties and to the right of where it says Opens with: click "Change"

Now you'll be given a list of recommended applications

If you were using firefox it will probably be right there just click it then click "ok"
if the application you used before isn't there click "Browse"

If you want to use Internet Explorer just go to: My Computer -> C:\
-> Program Files then find the folder called Internet explorer, inside you'll find iexplore click it then click open

let me know if that worked ok for you

Use firefox this is less intrusive and takes you exactly where you want to go without any side steps you can still use google as you homepage

Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to www.facebook.com

It is possible, the site is temporary not available. This has nothing to do about Google Chrome, but about the site itself. Even the proxy-servers of your internet-provider can be the source of this problem. And if you're located outside of the US, the link between your continent and the US can be occupied heavily.

But,. it's also possible, the source of your problem lays in Google Chrome. Maybe you added -by accident- a site, which Google Chrome has to block.
And, in case your computer is hooked up to a router in your home / office, someone might have registered it in the router to block this address.

So, there are many reasons why you might have difficulties to access facebook. It's not always Google Chrome to point a finger at. If you still think it is, install a different webbrowser at your PC.

I uninstalled google chome and now I can't reinstall it. It says internet explorer blocked but I click to run anyway , and nothing . What can I do

Since Google uses the ClickOnce application to distribute Chrome on its website, IE may be blocking that and not the actual Chrome setup application. Try downloading Chrome from another trusted website such as CNET or Filehippo.com.

Whenever I open GoogleChrome this appears: Error 138 (net::ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED) I accidentally blocked the connection of google chrome to the internet & can't reverse it. I also added it to...

This is most likely your antivirus program (eg. McAfee Total Protection) blocking Chrome from accessing the internet. The firewall is blocking Google Chrome because the antivirus program no longer recognizes it - even though it is on the list of permitted programs. To fix this problem:
1. Click on Firewall > Settings 2. Click on Program Permissions 3. Click Google Chrome & the Delete button 4. Click the Add button 5. Browse for the Google Chrome.exe file (it should be in your User folder>App Data>Local>Google>Chrome>Application 6. Add the program and you're done! Please vote, if you like solution.. Thanks Sandeep

Error 102 in Google Chrome

Here is why I receive this error:
When I had installed Google Chrome, I chose "not to participate to make our software experience better." I also do not use Google as my start page. What is happening is that the browser "phones home" against your choice and against your will, thus the error code. I have my firewall to block google.com and that is why I get this error, no matter what website I go to. Uninstall it and use Firefox, until Google respects your privacy.

Oh, and try it and you will see this is the truth. Block google.com with your firewall and go to any website....you will not be able to use Google Chrome and you get that error - it collects your personnel info. I had to use Firefox to post this. If you are comfortable with google tracking your web activity, by all means, use it.
