Sounds like you have a dead short to ground. Check the power cable & look for any rubbed through insulation & make sure the ground is still attached to it's post.

Here is a link to all the parts for that unit. The control board cost is over $200.00 and you may be better off getting a new setup. Let me know if you want to try and fix this unit and I will help you thru it. Also, here is a link to my service manual for that unit. This will help you quite a bit!

Maytag Bravos Dryer quiet series f01 code

F-01 Means the main electronic control board is likely to have failed.

Unplug the dryer for 5 minutes and the plug the dryer back in. If the code reappears, replace the main electronic control board.

This is where I would start.

Kenmore dryer model 11087531701 powers on but will not start. Sends code f-01. What does this code mean? How can we fix this?

The 110.87531701 dryer was manufactured by Whirlpool for the Kenmore label. For Whirlpool dryers, the F-01 code indicates an internal of the main electronic control board (the brain of the dryer). Try unplugging the dryer (or turning it off at the circuit breaker). Wait a while, then plug in the power cord. If the dryer now works, you may have had an electrical surge that needed to be dissipated.

Otherwise, the recommended repair is replacing the control board. Make sure to unplug the dryer before opening the back panel to access the control board. Move one wire at a time from the old board to the same place on the new board. If you have a gentle touch and soldering skills, some have repaired the board by finding the faulty solder joint and fixing it. However, you need to make sure that you remove and replace the wires with care.

See https://www.repairclinic.com/Shop-For-Parts/a8b6d876505/Model-11087531701-Kenmore-Dryer-Parts or http://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/11087531701/0582/0151200.html?searchType=modelSearch&q=110.87531701&searchTerm=110.87531701 for a parts list. The control board is part 46 on the cabinet parts diagram at Sears Parts Direct.

I hope this helps.

On Whirlpool duet steam front loading DRYER...What does the error code F70 mean?Do you have to have a certified whirlpool appliance service professional to repair?

F70 code says...
Replace the machine control electronics. You should first unplug the machine and then remove and plug back in all connectors on the front panel model as well as the electronic control module.

If that doesn't take care of the problem then it may be time to consider replacing the rear board. The FSP # 8183259

The control board is part # 14 in the link below.

The upper cabinet of our Maytag Neptune MCG8000AW Gas Dryer has always "dried" my dress shirts to come out without wrinkles. Now it seems to have power and light but it is not producing any heat

Most of the time a "no heat" condition on a gas dryer is due to one of two things: burned out ignitor Appliance Parts and Accessories Repair Appliance Parts Discount Parts... OR it could be a thermal limit switch that has failed which are easily replaced with this kit Dryer Thermostat Kit At one time, there was a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) out on this particular dryer that referred to a change that was made to the electronic control board eliminating the need for an external heater relay in December 2002 (Series 61). The new control board is supposed to work in place of all previous electronic control boards. Good luck.

Maytag dyer problems

it sounds like the control board is going bad but i wouldn't buy any parts for this dryer, soon you won't be able to get parts for it,put the money into a new dryer not to mention that the neptune products is what took maytag out and now whirlpool owns maytag.you could also have a problem with one of the connections or a bad wire in one of the connections and when you move the wires it's working again and this could be from the heat, after years the wires get brittle, you could buy the new board, put it in and if it's a wire you're back to square one,but from what you say it's either a wire in one of the connections or the board.good luck with your dryer.

Why is my dryer showing an 8.8. an not anything else

An 88 code indicates a short in the control board. This part probably needs to be replaced. If you open the panel (take off the back behind the control panel) on the dryer, you should find a tech sheet that will include diagnostic information for the issue.

This part costs $231.31 from http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Appliance-Parts/whirlpool-electronic-control-board-item-number-ap4044079.aspx . This price is from the parts list for the MDE5500AYW.

A few people get this code when the control panel is cold (like in an unheated garage). In that case a temporary fix is to warm up the unit. However, the problem will likely recur - it's caused by the wires shifting when they undergo thermal expansion and contraction.

I hope this helps.

How do you light pilot light on a maytag dryer LDG7500

you don't manually light the pilot, it uses an electronic ignitor to light the gas, part #AP3109449 whirlpool for $26.95 plus S&H, but first check its continuity to make sure this is your problem and not the control board

Maytag neptune mlg2000aww door will not lock or spin

Removing the top cover of the dryer, you will find, in the front right, the machine electronic control board with a burned resistor. This resistor burns up when the washer lock motor fails. The lock motor and control board will need replacing. Parts cost will be around $220.00.
