SOURCE: panasonic toughbook cf-w7--cannot get the symbols

It sounds like your computer is set up for the United Kingdom and not The United States....lol enough to drive ya crazy isn't it. Not to fear, this is how you change it.

Go to start > Settings > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Now here we will take our time and go through all the tabs because there are different settings that have to be changed and when we are done, re-boot the system and you are all set. First tab to click on is "Regional Options" go to the bottom and change your location to "United States". Hit apply after each change, dont re-boot until we are done with all the changes. Now in the upper window, change the standards and formats to (english) United States. Now click on the language tab, on the settings tab, change the input to language to English-United States. In the installed services window below that make sure that english-United States is added and you can delete the United Kingdon if it is there. click apply and ok and you're done with that tab. Now move over to the advanced tab and select English (United States) and hit apply...do not worry about the window under that...code page conversion, just reboot and enjoy an American Keyboard. Good Luck, ParrotHead PC Repair

My previous Panasonic phones were losing time-about 6 hours. Bought new Panasonic KX-TG744SK phones. Set up yesterday, worked fine; this morning, lost exactly six hours on the display... Any ideas?

You could be getting the incorrect time from the Caller ID system. Try setting the Time Adjust to Manual by pressing Menu when the entire system is in standby. Then press # 2 2 6 . Use the Up/Down arrow keys to select Manual and then press the soft key for Save. (Alternatively, navigate to Set Date & Time. Press the soft key for OK. Select Time Adjust and press OK. Use the arrow keys to set this to Manual and save.) Press Exit or Cancel several times to get out of the menu system.

The Time Adjust menu is also under the Settings menu in the Set Date & Time section. YOu can find this information in the manual which is available from the product support site: https://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/KX-TG744SK.html . The current link to the manual is ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/telephone/om/kx-tgd560_en_om.pdf . See page 35.

I hope this helps.

HOW DO I SAVE AN INCOMING NUMBER ON KX-TG6812e

Storing a number in the phone book with the KX-TG6812 from the Caller ID list is shown in the manual. WIth all handsets in standby mode, press the Down/Caller List button on the navigator key circle on one handset. Press the down or up arrows to navigate to the number that you want to add to the phone book. Press the right soft key (the LCD screen above the button should be displaying a rectangle with 6 squares). Use the Up/Down arrows to highlight Save CID. Press OK. Use the Up/Down arrows to select Phonebook and press OK. Enter the name of the caller (up to 16 characters). Press the appropriate number key multiple times to display the desired character. Use the * key to switch from upper or lower case. Press the left or right arrows to go to add the next character in the name. If you need to use one of the different character tables, press R/Eco (below the # symbol). Press OK when finished. Press the Call End/Off button to exit the menu.

The manual is available on the product page: https://www.panasonic.com/africa/consumer/telephones-home-security/telephone/cordless/kx-tg6812.html . Scroll down to the bottom of the page or click on the Support link. The direct link to the manual is currently http://www.panasonic.ae/EN/Manuals/KX-TG6812.pdf . You need the information from page 35 to store the number and page 21 to add the caller name to the entry. See page 45 for the extended character tables and the character/number tables.

I hope this helps.

I need to know how to unblock a caller on a Panasonic cordlesss phone .... KX-TGE263

From a handset with the phone in standby, press the following keys: Menu # 2 1 7 . Then use the up/down arrows to select Block a specific number and press Select. Use the arrow keys to select the number and then use the soft key to choose Erase. Use the up/down arrows to highlight Yes and then press Select again. Press Off to exit the menu system. This is shown on page 47 in the manual.

If you wish to go through the menus using the up/down arrow keys only, go to Settings and press Select. Look for the Call Block item and then press Select. Then select your number and Erase as above.

The manual is available from Panasonic. The current direct link to the manual is ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/telephone/om/kx-tge260_mul_om.pdf .

Describe your cidco cw99 caller id+ user manual Problem I want to delete old data, set all to 0 calls. I don't have a user manual ! Thanks.

Hi drkossvt,

The way to erase all calls on the cidco cw99 caller ID is to arrow into the caller ID list and hold the Delete button for about 6 seconds. The screen will display "- NO CALLS -"
Note: it does not matter which Caller ID entry you arrow to before you hold the Delete button. This also works if you are on the "- END OF LIST -" screen.
If you want to delete a single call, arrow to that call and press the Delete button twice.

How do I get the Panasonic KX-T7633 to show incoming caller's phone number? Is this a feature the phone automatically has or do I need to contact my telephone provider? Thank You.

You need to have Caller ID enabled by your telephone provider. Most providers charge a fee for the service. (In my area, it is $4.50 to display just the incoming number, $6 for names and numbers or you can get it in a bundle with other services for ~$10. Your prices may vary.)

The incoming calls will be listed in the call log once the service is active. You can clear this information when you are confirming the log information after navigating to the desired item by pressing Clear. You use the left/right arrows to find desired log/directory and then the up/down arrows to select a log.

I hope this helps.

Panasonic kxtd816 with caller id card kxtd-193 problem kxt-7431

All Panasonic display phones, both analog and digital 7xxx series phones support CID. It requires 5 or 6 program adjustments as outlined in the manual. With luck, you may be able to just turn it on in 406, but your area code needs to be set if you have 7 digit local dialing, you need to tell the system if you want CID to adjust the clock daily, SMDR display, etc.

The 1232_PG lists all the steps. If you don't have a manual, you really need to get one. Post back and we'll see what we can do.
