Hello, I have a Poulan Gas Hedge Trimmer GHT220.
It shuts off on me after anywhere from 5-15 minutes of operation.
Then it usually takes a few hours of cool down, before it will run again.
I have tried cleaning the air intake, and exhaust, and changed the spark plug a few times.
but nothing seems to help this problem.
(I tried today to check the spark plug for a spark during this shut down period.
I removed the plug, but kept it connected to the wire. Then I placed one side of the plug against
the metal structure of the spark plug hole, and pulled the cord. so far I have not seen any sparks)
This has been a very annoying problem for the past couple seasons. It's only 5 years old, and I really didn't want to have to buy a new one, cause money is short right now.
some people have suggested a bad seal?
or the solenoid?
